  • q: which is better xp or fsx???!!!! a: fsx is better than xp 9 but xp10 is soooooo better than fsx

  • @amircena10bisj FSX is the best

  • @amircena10bisj no forget it, just look at all the addons you can get for fsx. Xplane has not much addons and the grphics are also not the best

  • like all pc simulators it still suffers from occasional animation jerk. I have yet ot see a pc simulator with no animation jerk or stutter even if only minor. With todays hardware it should be possible.

  • whats better x-plane or fsx? thanks

  • I have FSX, but the graphics seemed much nicer in this game. What about - He is easy to fly an airplane like in FSX or is it very difficult?

And the big question: FSX vs X-Plane?

  • @OzZi1310 Well if you're used to playing FSX, how i really love X Plane, i highly recommend you getting it. But first, play the demo to see if flying in X Plane is "easy", and to help YOU to decide wich is better, because other peoples opinion doesn't matter what you feel about the game.

    Hope i helped.

  • Please answer: how do i get the landing sound to sound like that? i have the same airplane but the landing sound is the regular one. please answer

  • It's reverse thrust to slow the aircraft!

  • Ha Ha suckers i got x plane 10 for my christmas present

  • What's the big Engine Sound When the is already touchdown and what is it function?

  • I love this... landing in SFO but listening to New York Approach! Classic!

  • i never managed to get xplane setup with very good graphics. How do you make xplane look as good as flight sim 9?

  • How do you indicate your roll and pitch without the yoke?

  • I got the xplane demo and I can't play it because it sus error upd_ then some other things then at te bottom of the screen it says line 1228 can someone help me please?!?

  • This is the best flight simulator! tumbs up

  • does xplane have atc

  • @kevini15 Yes XP9 has ATC but it is very crude, and quite frankly useless. AI aircraft is also limited to 20 aircraft. What you are hearing in this video is just chatter, it has nothing to do with what's going on in the sim. The next version of X-Plane (X-Plane 10) due out by the end of the year, is said to have a much better ATC system, (Remains to be demonstrated) but AI aircraft is still going to be limited to 20 aircraft.

  • @tf51d

    stay at FSX :D!

  • Nice

  • how did u got that 3d cockpit, my 3d cockpit looks not like that

  • Where did you download the scenery???

  • Nice cockpit!

What plane was this (I know 757, but what model?)

  • I haven't played X-Plane yet, but I intend to buy it, the sound effects for the landing are dead on. Very impressive.

  • @rawdmon You may want to hold off if you can, Xplane-10 is due for release before Christmas. It promises to have better features and scenery, then X-Plane 9. There is likely to be an upgrade path, but it will probably not be free. This way you don't have to pay twice.

  • @tf51d Thanks for the tip.

  • @tf51d i have x plane on my iPad is it worth buying 10 when it is out for my PC

  • @rawdmon dont!! buy fsx deluxe editionmutch more realiti

  • how are the frame rates in xplane compared to fsx?

  • @ValhallaAwaitsU

FSX uses a lot of your components compared to XPlane. I know XPlane uses a lot less than FSX. Im not sure why but I am guessing it is the way it is programmed. Still I find FSX having nicer scenery and airports then XPlane but that is all up to the player.

  • How do you get that view in the 3D cockpit? The seat head is blocking me that far back?

  • How do you change the liveries on xplane?

  • i have been playing with FSX for a long time, but THIS LOOKS BETTER. its awesome. nice video btw

  • Nice video! But why didn't you use speedbrakes and reverse trust?? Excellent job¡

  • @joadpilot I did, but X-Plane's instant replay doesn't show them. You can hear the reversers as well as see the indication on the EICAS on touchdown.

  • great video. Landing seemed a bit firm. Def. not a greaser. You touched around 250-300 fpm.

  • its the original sound of the ATC ?

  • Hey man your use ILS?

  • @CrisDrummerfull The landing was manual, but with the use of the ILS as a guide.

  • Which one do you prefer, X-Plane or FSX ?

  • excellent land

  • Nice Plane, from where did you get it?

  • How did you make it go with sound???

  • Nice landing.

  • great landing

  • WOW!! that final aprouch and touchdown was really good! You clearly no how to fly these beasts!! :O :D

  • omg.. that radio talks between pilots and ATC are sucks!.. X-plane didn't change it from first version?? i mean i played X-Plane 5 many years ago, and that radio was "killing" me..

  • where did you get this plane?

  • i think what the people refer to as the 10-degree thing is the flight director. should be about 5degrees, but maybe there was not enough flaps or his approach is slow(look at the dial), so the plane will tell him to maintain that pitch to be on the right approach. the plane's actual attitude was the black not the pink. flare was less than 5degrees, just right.

if FLT DIR was set to auto, the plane will pitch itself to 10deg. maybe it was set to ON, so the autopilot will be used only as guide.

  • where are the speed brakes?

  • Anyone else find radio chatter calming?

  • How did you record the sounds...Doesn't Xplane Quicktime recorder only record videos?

  • would u say xplane 9 is better thn FSX(FlightSimulatorX)

    THANK YOU

  • Is like fsx

  • Geeeeez, how much comms chat do you want!

  • @TheXplane101 Thank you very much! Yes the external hard drive is definitely the best choice, but I'm out of money and my hardware is not so great. When you say "global scenery" do you mean the six scenery dvd of x-plane or it's an addon scenery? Thanks :-)

  • Lax bro

  • Hi! Very good final approach indeed! I like to fly professioinal airplane in a simulation environment (I'm not an actual pilot) and I actually use Flight Simulator X.

After some researches I've understood that X-plane is a better simulator, the on FAA approved for real pilot training... BUT I discovered that it has 70GB installation and I wanted to know the PC configuration to run it quite smoothly (30fps minimum). Do I need addon for a better simulation?

do addons affect performance very much?

  • @dombarca97 YESSS IT IS MUCH BETTER

  • iPad or computer? Because it's definantly not an iPhone I wish mine was that clear

  • was that ils or manual

  • @dombarca97 This is more realistic with atmospheric conditions and things such as wing flex and FSX is more forgiving of a casual or in my case crappy pilot. It is really what you want from a simulator is the difference.

  • @moomoo1337 The belief that X-Plane has a superior flight model is just marketing hype. Both sims are capable of realistic flight (Within the limits of a PC). It all depends on the skill of the models developer. There are some good ones on X-Plane, most are GA models. The MU-2 is very good. There are more accurate models for FSX though, and have more realistic systems. Mostly because of the experience level of the developers producing for it.

  • @tf51d I just find Xplane a bit more awkward to fly as it is more unforgiving, FSX I can just throw a plane around and rarely I balls it up, except when I am landing. It is only through my own experience that I gave any comment. I do usually play IL2 though and the flight model is a little more accessible except for those Corsairs and Hellcats which flip upside down or into the ground at any excuse :-)

  • Nice! btw what video card do you have?

  • great job

  • hi does anyone no where i can find a CESSNA CARAVAN 208B for xplane 9 the plane skydivers use with doors opening and everything its for my birthday and i would really like one it would be so special

  • @CRaZZyKiLLz11 maybe he did not used THE speedbrakes

  • Nice Video! Your Pc? Pls Answer

  • Landing was bad... back gear is the last thing to touch ground and the first when landing...

  • The sound is awfull, but the landing is o.k

  • i wanna the sounds :P

  • This 757 is a pretty fun freeware aircraft...Do your engine cowls stay in Thrust Reverse config all the time tho?Thats the only drawback to this Jet along with the non spinning fan disk.

  • Not bad !but no FSX! That vc looks like fs-2002!

  • @franthree

At least it simulates like MFS 2059

  • @franthree who said anything about fsx?! (you are idiot)

  • @Matijahs yea! FSX 4ever!!

  • Can anybody please tell me what engines those are? they sound great!

  • was that your landing or with auto pilot ?

  • Yes, X-Plane is so worth it! Youtube cuts it down quite a bit. It still looks good, but wait till you see it for yourself. I run a home recording studio and when I run this program on my iMac i7 27" w/ KRK Audio monitors at half volume, it feels so real.

    LOVE IT!

I only payed $35 for the Sim with shipping and all. x-plane.com

  • The ATC you are using for this radio is mixed. Tower, Center, and Approach.

  • Yeah an AOA of about 5 degrees is usually perfect. This was a good approach. Very well done.

  • Beautiful approach & landing!!! Where does the scenery come from? Everything looks so real!!

  • @woarboar A 10 degree AOA would be dangerously close to a tail strike, 10.5 would strike. The AOA for this landing was perfectly acceptable, though it wouldn't hurt though to have added 2 or 3 degree more. This though is predicated on an accurate calculated VREF speed which a FMC would have provided. It probably would have been about 5kts lower then I used, which was 145kts (VREF+5). It is a misnomer that jets should have a dramatically high AOA. They only need about 2 or 3 degree above App AOA.

  • @tf51d you could have had the nose a little higher but I feel that people forget the meaning and purpose, to have fun! As a flight instructor, aviation is taking too seriously, yes human factors and crashes blah blah blah, but we are out there to have fun, share the passion etc.

  • @tf51d I agree.

  • @tf51d WTF i got lost at 10

  • @tf51d if you dont flare much, you want to flare a little early, if you flare a lot, flare at normal point

  • @tf51d umm im soz but WHAT THE HELL R U ON ABOUT!?

  • @tf51d AOA and pitch attitude are not the same thing

  • @woarboar Looked ok to me.

  • @woarboar The landing pitch was perfect !!! Between 4 - 6 degrees is Ok but more is very dangerous !

    Nice landing ;)

  • @woarboar I think about 3-7 degrees is the best (personally)

  • @woarboar wtf??? almost 10 degrees???? an average flare in a 757 is 5 degrees

  • how come you have such perfect graphics and sound effects?

  • @TheCoolguycool fsx=game// x plane=simulator//

  • @BasszusX How is fsx a game?

  • @Brulszd because it is too easy to fly in MSFS, you can land any kind of airplane at the first time! try it in x plane, and you`ll see what is all about, and how to start the engines etc.. AND flight dynamics!!!

  • @BasszusX You may have a point, but why do airline companies use Flight SIMULATOR to train their students?

  • @BasszusX change that --' ever did a barrell roll with a 747? no? then you have the realistic fsx..

  • @BasszusX

You silly fanboy both are "games" unless you want to pay from 5,500 to 501,000 USD for certified X-Plane and hardware (cockpit and flight controls).

However FSX can also be FAA certified in this way (yeah obviously not with the same price, I don't know the amount) employing certified aircraft models.

Both have pros and cons but in the same formal conditions FSX is way better for me. I ran the demo of X-Plane and I found just disappointment. Deleted almost instantly with no regret.

  • @Gian092 if you can`t see or feel the difference, i`m sorry then/// X-Plane differentiates itself by implementing an aerodynamic model known as blade element theory.

  • @BasszusX

Oh I did see and feel the difference, but worse.

FSX uses data charts got directly from aircraft manufacturers (Boeing, Airbus, etc.) so if you obtain the right model you will be fine. For instance I hardly ever fly default aircrafts.

In any case none of above simulate perfectly the reality, in fact no engineers rely on them for aircraft development and they use wind tunnel with obvious reasons.

  • Nice landing ;-)

  • 1.sexy

2.where'd you get that beast mode plane

3.how did you get the replay into upload able format

    4. my airport buildings dont show up, only my runways do

    5. please help me

  • x plane has a little better detail than fsx but i still think it fs better

  • yeah! lights in the water!

  • @tf51d put a i9 in a piece of junk store bought computer with a cheap video card and you will have no "bogging down" at all. If you do then upgrade your memory and you will be fine. I have a piece of junk video card and with all settings maxed including a.i traffic it never bogs

  • Are you flying on mouse or flight stick ? How did you get pitch that much smooth ? My pitch is dumping on my flight stick I don't know what to do, I was messing arround with joystick options in x-plane 9 but nothing seems to fix the problem.

  • are there any addons or is this what x plane looks like

  • thats what im talking about when i say to land a plane:)

  • the aircraft doesnt have glass on the window ? ....how pathetic!!!

  • does ure graphics card need to b extremely good like in fsx?????

  • @MrFuturistic2 fsx doesnt need a great graphics card it needs a modern processor

  • @MrFlightnoob It does need a video card that has a fair amount of Video Memory Bandwidth, at least 70GB/s, like a 8800GT or a 9800GTX, minimum. If you get a card with less, especially the ones with 25GB/s, FSX is going to bog down, even with a fast processor.

  • It isn't hard

  • @CYBERSPACE38000 - Go to x-plane.org. There are a good number of freeware aircraft for download with 3D cockpits. There's also few few other sites out there with freeware X-Plane aircraft, but most are on the x-plane.org site.

  • Is this an XPFW plane?

  • you forgot the spoilers!

  • @123BIGTIMERUSHFAN No I didn't, X-Plane Instant replay doesn't animate them!

  • @tf51d yes they do, check my my recent uploaded video.

  • @tf51d oh ok

  • @tf51d and thats why x-plane sucks in fsx they show the speed brakes in replays

  • @123BIGTIMERUSHFAN I have that plane and you need a plugin or something to use them, i dont so i cant use spoilers and the reverse thrusters are always in the armed position

  • @CYBERSPACE38000 you need a graphics card to run the game, ati 5770 or nvidia gts or gtx series!

  • Hi Guys. I have x-plane 9 too but no 3d cockpits at all.

Why? Where can I get 3d cockpits for my sim?

    Do you have X-plane Professional?

  • nice job

  • no music! thats what I like!

  • @keto6789 OMG tell me about it.. I hate videos that have music on it.....I've literally seen hundreds of videos that were ruined because of music....

  • @Gamebreaker08 I agree. It's SO annoying to hear Justin Beiber, although if they took the audio out, then all it would be is a video of a gay 7 year old rubbing himself. THAT would be fun to watch...

  • @Gamebreaker08 I agree, my xplane vieos need music i them because I can only use the in game recorder to record video but not the audio, how do I do that?

  • thats not the real radio . u have a soundbit over ur video 31L? 31R thats not KSFO and the airport looked dead?

  • Where did you get that acenery?

  • Good landing . ignore the "nay-sayers" without a life regreting they were not pilots and complaining all day on the internet, while you stay cool landing your 757 :)

  • cool

  • What did u play this is if on mac then tell me the specs

  • n

    ice mate

  • Very nice video. After reading a few comments, I personally did not note any glaring problems (with regard to pilot technic). GS and PAPI excursions happen - no big deal here. That 757 was particularly light though....normally land with about 600-800 fpm down and power till just about the mains touch....but then again you didn't have an RA, or a pilot call out to work with. Great vid- thanks for posting it

  • i like your landing xpfw project 757 continental airlines huh yeah i use xpfw 757 2 i like it but mine is from national airlines and dont have wingtips! tnx

  • very nice landing. I'm a MFS simmer and i must say i am impressed very much with the atc chatter. very realistic but im still going to be MFS simmer.

  • ok coming from a real pilot..... his approach was fine. whoever is saying you fly the approach w/ no power has either never flown or only flown piston aircraft. When you fly a turbine you fly the approach with a little more power due to the fact that a turbine cant spin up fast in the case of a go around from low RPM. learn to fly before you comment. you fly a cessna w/ low power not a jet

  • Not sure what people were arguing about with this landing. He was a tad long, but otherwise picture perfect.

  • is that wat the atc sounds like in x-plane

  • Very very nice

  • Use ILS

  • Wheres the terminal... do you have 2 download that?

  • x-plane doesnt come with airport scenery you have to install them where as fsx comes with nice defualt scenery

  • i think its a nice landing.. even if its not 100% correct, this is not for 100% realism, this is for fun, so great job! and great plane btw, i am flying exaclty the same aircraft, same creator :) just with a cool Iron Maiden skin.. IRON MAIDEN ROCKS

  • i have the same thing

  • wherever i go or whatever settings i change, there always seems to be this fog like thing or something that never goes away. I can't even see the aircraft? does anyone have any ideas of what it could be?

  • Nice Vid :)

I just wish any flight sim (FS series or X-Plane) would have good life like ATC without having to go online, i'm talking about the sound quality, the tone of voice, the real-time generated realistic background chatter. It would make the game size so much bigger in file size but the atmosphere would be amazing. Plus most online ATC's sound way too "plane spotter'ish" to sit comfortably with me lol

I'm aware of things like the Radar Contact series but they still weren't quite right.

  • well in fsx i get like 12 to 5 fps on the highest settings possible

on the other hand on X-plane on the highest settings i get like 40 to 70 fps.

  • wow your good at landing planes i cant land anything lol

  • i'm going crazy when people are saying fsx is better then this

look at the amount of fps ur getting in xplane 9 in this setting

in fsx i see is LAGGG!!

even thogh i have an alien ware area 51alx overclocked

  • @lobbyhobbybobbydubob Sorry you won't get any support from me. Performance wise X-Plane limits visibility, it's aircraft models are no more complex then FSX default. No real ATC AI limited to 25 aircraft. Ground graphics not as good in many areas as FSX. (Some like mountains is ok) No airport scenery. This video had no AI traffic. This one in FSX did with a Captain Sim 757, which is one of the most detailed aircraft models out there.

    youtube . com/watch?v=vQ0dW8NpF9g

  • @lobbyhobbybobbydubob That was only with a E6850 C2D at 3.0Ghz not Over clocked, 4 GB mem and a 9800GTX video card. If I used a less complex aircraft comparable to say this one. it would be even better.

  • @lobbyhobbybobbydubob umm....look that the cockpit? And the cockpit of every other aircraft. And the model? THEY ALL ARE HORRIBLE.

  • @lobbyhobbybobbydubob

Are you on crack ? of course FSX is better, You have an Alien ware from the last century, go get your self an upgrade. Even the cheapest i5 will run FSX.... lol

  • Way too low, if you had lost your engines you'd be in the drink.

  • @mr3856a Low? If he was anymore higher over the threshold they would on Made a missed approach but ok landing

  • @mr3856a He wasn't too low. 1st If you're too high above the runway you would stall and smack right down popping all of your tires and breaking the landing gear. 2nd did you notice those 4 lights on the left a little beyond the skid marks, those indicate if you are too high or low, you want for there to be 2 whites and 2 reds, if there all 4 are red or 3 are red that means you are too low or a touch too low, same with the white lights only they indicate if your too high. He nailed the landing.

  • @TestMyVidsOut

Absolutely he was too low, practically the entire time. Listen at 0:35 when he jumps on the throttle and stays on it until 1:46; then again at 2:25 to 2:46. He doesn't even really back off throttle from 2:25 until just prior to flare. If he had lost engine power at any time during that approach he and everyone else on board would have been grabbing for life jackets. Yes, he did have 2 red and 2 white, but only because he rode the throttle all the way in. That's not how it's done.

  • @mr3856a I know it's hard to see but the GS indicator shows me on glide slope for most of the approach. At the end it shows me high, but according to the GPWS I was at 50ft over the threshold, just where I should have been! Yes I was using throttles to regulate descent rate, just as should be done.

  • @tf51d Rate of descent is not the metric by which an approach is made, but that's an entirely different story. At the start of the video you bring the engines back to presumably near idle, which is where they should be landing this plane. Then at 0:34 you jam the throttle forward because if you don't, you will land in the ocean. You were fine AT the threshold, but if you had lost engine power at any time during the first 2:45 of this video, you wouldn't have made the threshold.

  • @tf51d And to further emphasize my point, the reason you wound up high is because you were on the throttle until after you reached the threshold, because again, had you not been, you wouldn't have made the threshold, but rather San Francisco Bay. You need to make the approach from higher and at a steeper rate of descent - high enough so that if you lose engine power, you aren't swimming. That's the golden rule - what will happen if I lose engine power? In this case you'd have been swimming.

  • @mr3856a No you follow the glide slope, and you adjust descent with throttle not pitch Towards the end of the approach the ILS will slip off. If I followed it at that point, then I would have been in the bay. You cut power over the threshold (Actually a little past around 30 ft.) to begin your flare, You should be over the threshold at 50 ft which I was. If anything I was slightly right of center line at touchdown. My descent profile on this flight was fine.
