1:38 to 1:47 This crash scene was used in The Prime Mover, an episode of the Twilight Zone with Buddy Ebsen, 1961, for those that appreciate a little movie trivia.
The movie car was a FORD 51 ( Twin Spinner) with a 50 front end. See Dash and seat upholstry is 51. That is the car that was eventually blown to pieces in the Atlantic Filling station. The second car was a FORD Fairlane 2 door which was in the last scene rolling into the power substation. A great movie for Mr Robert Mitchum, he is still "the man" 10/5
Love this version by Randy Sparks - should have gotten a credit for his work on the movie.

I had a '68 - 350 - four in the floor Camero that I dearly loved. My daughter's boy friend did it in. Boo-Hoo!

The popular TV show "Dukes of Hazzard" was based on this film. A few
minor changes were made, like using the name "Luke Duke" for one of
the main characters instead of "Luke Dewlin", using "Hazzard County"
Kentucky instead of "Harlan", and using "Boss Hogg" instead of "Kogan",
but the hotrod cars they used for "tankers" in the first season of "Dukes"
were the same. The 1st season of the show was most like this film.
Later on it got "cutesy" and they dropped the Dukes' moonshining
business

Great movie with very good stunts for the time. By the way that's a '57 Ford and not a '55...
