Yeah, always jealous when someone sees Muse, though I have actually been to one of the Resistance Tours shows. Phenomenal band and song. And Ryan, the crowd has nothing to do with the disgusting quality of this vid. It's why I listened to 4 seconds of it and then checked out all the other vids on here that have the kind of sound you'd expect. Just annoying to ahve to wade through the crap first.

When I first heard The Resistance album in its entirety, MK Ultra was the song that stood out for me. The rest of the album fell into place after that. It's such a great album. I hope they make more.

Ah I hate people who are just dead. The Helsinki gig was like that, I was in a terrible place where no one was jumping. Was the far far left barrier, kept looking over at the center barrier and seeing everyone jumping wishing I was there...

Haha. I was about 20 meters from the front and to the right. I was expecting the crowd to be surging forwards and backwards and jumping at every song but i could see that from the half-way point onwards, people were barely moving and even at the front they only jumped up and down a little bit. Plug In Baby seemed to be the only song where everyone went mental. I will add though, i'd recently been to a Fightstar gig which was INSANE and i thought Muse fans would be just as crazed! XD

I know what you mean, but at the same time, the middle part of the gig (from SMBH to starlight) is not what I would call prime "going nuts" material. The beginning to MK ULTRA and from PiB to the end, however was insane...only downside is I was stuck between two circle pits...not pleasant

I must admit, circle pits have never been my favourite part of gigs. It can make it difficult to enjoy the music. They ruined the Editors gig i went to (my first gig). I was headbutted in the face. HEADBUTTED IN THE FACE AT AN EDITORS GIG! Couldn't believe it... X

i went to the Dublin gig on the 6th of November.. and i had heard that they sound checked MK Ultra in Glasgow on the 9th but didn't actually play it...LOL.. you were so lucky to see that live, i thought they would've left it till their last UK gig, as a surprise.. good video btw :)

Yes you're right, on the album version it's played in F major, but live they transposed it down a semitone into E major. It takes so much effort to play a transposed song, especially when you've learned it so well in the original key - so kudos to Muse!

You know what I do think it would take one billion times more effort to play it exactly the same as in the album (same for Exo-Politics).

Those two tracks are extremely demanding (the singing mainly, try to sing those two alone then add the guitar to that and you will be for a major pain !).

To me the difference is not shocking here, it still sounds like the frickin beautiful and atmospheric MK Ultra !

Damn straight. They were doing the exact same thing with the (very few) times they played Exo-Politics live in 2006.

Mostly for one simple reason : those two tracks are impossible to play live like they do on the album.

Way too complex (especially to sing AND play the guitar at the same time).
