Oh yeah, and a lot of people seem to forget his 2001 and 2005 seasons were shortened because he got hit by pitches (one broke his hand). Must be his fault.

Too bad Sox fans (mainly pink hatters) seem to hate him. Yes, he had a lousy 2007 season (although he did post a good OBP). In 2008, he was as good as just about anybody in the AL, but missed about 33% of the season. He also came up huge in the playoffs and in June (when Ortiz was on the DL). 2009, he had a slow start, but tore it up in the 2nd half, helping the Sox make it to the playoffs.
