I'm quite behind on Eurovision, but once I heard that Iceland picked a song, I just HAD to look it up! And good god, I literally almost forgot to breathe throughout the first half of the song! Iceland always has amazing songs, (I only got into Eurovision in 2009) and this one is no exception! I really hope that the song remains in Icelandic, English would just kill it. This is the song to beat, it's already set the bar very high. I would absolutely love to see Iceland win the ESC one year, and this might just be the song to do it for them; it's dramatic and mysterious, but it also has popular appeal. Victory for Iceland would be a good story too: from Baku to Reykjavik is the greatest distance possible - from one end of the continent to the other.
