I'm learning Square Dance at this time in a very nice club in Germany.... and it is fantastic that I can dance al over the world when I'm finish next year!!!!! Very nice Christmas Square Dance video, thank you for sharing.
I'm glad I found these videos ... hadn't thought of checking YouTube for square dance.
For those interested, do a Google search for square dance with the name of your town or nearby towns. You can also check your local phone book for square dance callers and supply shops. There are clubs for all ages from young kids to older senior citizens with most being a mix of all.
This is awesome. How boring it would be to be old and just sit around all day...! These folks are old, but they're still into getting out and having a good time. I'd love to learn how to dance this.
Would be nice to see this activity modernized - Mini Pearl should have taken her dresses with her. This activity will die without young blood. Give it a modern look!

God bless all you well meaning folks with your emphasis on using clothing for "sex differences." Now go view some videos on "Tsamikos" and "Tannoura" sometimes spelled "Tanoura" then read about Dr. Mary Walker or Rosie the Riveter on any search engine. Sex differences in clothes? We do have them---bras and athletic supporters. Your stuff is stereotyped. But don't change. Sit back and watch others change.
Square dancing is fun activity. It's a very good aerobic exercise. It keeps the heart pumping. Some people take it too serious. They will yell at you if you mess up. If these people have to yell at other dancers, then maybe they should find another a hobby. All you are doing is just dancing. That's all.
Aww i was telling my daughter how we used to have to square dance every Tuesday in elementary school. She was like..what's square dancing?.. Now i remember why i loved Tuesdays!..that was fun
Thanks for the comment. However what you did in school is very different from modern western square dancing. Today we can travel and dance around the world and regardless of the local language the dances are ALWAYS in English. To locate clubs around the world do a seach for DoSaDo.
aww yeah it is adorable. i remember we were required to do square dancing in middle school (ages 12-14) back in my old city in north florida. good thing it wasnt required where i currently preside right now. :O
