I was looking on the BBC News site and Wikipedia and both of these organizations are spinning the myth that Tibet was historically a province of China. when you look at 'Tibet' and 'Tibetan Buddhism' on Wikipedia HH Dalai Lama hardly gets a mention.

Story makes no sense at all. Why would the Police beat the Monk to death after they put out the fire with the fire extinguisher. If they had no intent to save him, they could just have just sit idling by and do nothing.

If the other monks wanted save him, they shouldn't deny him of medical attention. A 2nd or 3th degree burn is fatal if it is not treated in a timely manner. Bottom line is that it is the Monk's fault for setting himself on fire, not China.
