i personally like electoral better because i am a minority living in a swing state. in a national vote, my block's voice is drowned out by the majority but in a state vote we can have an impact. electoral also gives more equality to states because a candidate's margin of victory in a state doesn't matter. this forces candidates to focus on every state instead of just the most populated ones. it also works against favoritism towards candidates from larger states.
