    Why yes, you should. It's offensive. To call someone a "racist" is to give offense. Nobody should want to be called a racist.

    Don't defend Lou Dobbs by saying nobody should be called a racist.

    If you want to defend Lou Dobbs against the charge of racism...well...quite frankly, I have no idea how you could. But simply cringing at the word is venial.
