Seeing this for like the 200th time (I'm not kidding) gets me thinking about how much of The Killer is about the violation of the domestic, i.e. how many scenes take place in people's apartments or homes, which reinforces the theme of the unintended consequences of a violent (Jeff's) lifestyle; also, however, how the cop is just as helpless as the killer to protect Jenny; both men are reduced to the most brute dimension (e.g. using a kitchen knife) when confronted by these white-clad monsters

His name's really Ah Jong, but thanks to hilariously embarrasing translations, all characters got English names. Overall, finding an ACCURATE translation of any of these movies is really hard. It even makes the story quite hard to follow, and busts logic holes all over the film. It's a shame...

This is one of those "school" movies, that represent a kind of thing done as well as it can be done. If I was writing a violent gangster film, this is the one I'd rip off/copy.
