  • wow, you're jacked

  • Me toooo!!!!

  • can the snare get any freaking tighter?? damn..

  • u sound awsome but yea the drums sound bad i have that same problem try some duct tape maybe? at least when u do a video anyway it might sound great recorded

  • around 1.33 and start of 1.49 can you tell me how you do it.

  • Take this lesson and start getting creative with it i.e. use that on all your drums instead of just the snare.

  • sounds like base right left triplets to me

  • how can i learn to do the roll in 0.26 ?

  • rlf rlf would be something like it

  • ahh, indeed!

  • Those are triplets split between two hands and one foot. Goes like this: RLKRLKRLKRLKRLKRLK Use your hands on the snare and the toms.

  • awesome video! very good job man !!! 5/5

  • great, finally a solo that actually a solo, that interesting:) good job, but ringy, but ok

  • hey i noticed u wre opening and closing the high hat pedal. i have to do that in drum lessons sum times. it gets rlly fucking, annoying, barely makes a sound, and mixes me up! :P

  • yer a beast

  • Good job! Very fun to watch!

  • good sounding kit but im not so sure bout that snare...

  • you play nicely. A good feel and nice technique...you're on your way. Check out my vids if you have a sec. kudos bro

  • at :25 is so cool

  • its all triplets with the bass, john bonham does it

  • that bell pattern at the beginning is good stuff.

  • now thats grovin. the ghost notes complete it.

  • Hey i was wanting to know how you learned to play the drums, did you have drum lessons or anything like that?

  • I learned out of a book by myself for the first year and a half. And for the latter 3 years I have been taking lessons, and studying music in college.

  • My god that was awesome man!!!

  • the highest tom sounds a little to boingy for my liking, but the rest of the drums are tuned great. i wish my camera could make my drums sound as good as they do in person.

  • Well I can't say I know very much about tuning, so I don't think I will make a very good tuning video. I can try and offer you my best advice. The snare batter is tuned really high, and I hit it a couple inches off center to get a really ringy sound. The toms...I just tune both heads to where the wrinkles disappear, and then tune the batter up a couple turns higher for better projection. Well good luck, sorry I can't help much more in this department!

  • lol i cn never play that on me drums!!!

  • awesome!O_O

  • i would never get around my kit with traditional grip i only play jazz in traditional

  • well it will only sound good if u tune it right and use good heads

  • moron, its the mics not the kit!!!!! I could make the pots and pans in your kitchen sound great with the right mics!!!!

  • Hmmm....this video is actually unmiced, and is just using the crappy camera mic.

  • i loved it. however, i'm not a drummer, but isn't the snare drum a bit too tight? or did you like it's sound like that. or is it easier to do rolls with a tight snare?

  • Hey, thanks! Some may say it is too tight...but coming from an area of funk interest, I like to keep it fairly tight for now.

  • nice set..beautiful tone.

  • really good ! like the groove at 1 minute with ride bell very nice

  • nice toms

  • trad looks awesome:D im just switching at the moment, I really shouldn't but I just can't help playing it everytime I sit down instead of matched haha, keep it up, save for some studio time and post an even better video on here:D

  • Awesome drumming man, what kit are you using? Your kit has so much tone even when unmiced, it's fantastic.

  • Thanks! It's an all maple Pacific kit, with lacquer finish. So, in short, it is a PDP LX in Regal Royal Fade.

  • Nice Job!

  • You remind me of that Ginger guy, from Cream. hands and feet talking in different styles but still telling the same tale... nice work

  • great posture and technique. very cool.

  • Great sounding drumz. Great grooves. Do all these youtube haters make you laugh? Cause they're leaving you some comedic feedback that you should definatley ignore.

  • why dont u do that with a shirt on

  • It gets really hot playing in the summer. Sorry if I offended you.

  • Nothing Especial

  • Nice Nike Sandals! and by the way nice solo! HAHA

  • 8 inch toms are bulllllshit, i want one anyway tho haha

  • in response to metriclips, i dont really think it matters about grip at all, who gives a fuck aslong as somebody can drum and drum well, dick

  • get a muffle for that snare man. the ring is killing me.

  • Hi, Nice drumming. I have saw your videos on you tube

a few weeks back. Thanks for comment.

  • although - I probably was rather rude. I must admit, I do find that you've structured this quite well - you produce a very clear defined sound, and your rim shots kick ass.

  • So I'm a fool now, and he is a faggot. Why should we listen to you?

  • wow. what a suprize. click on "metriclips" and he has nothing. just like all the other shit talkers.

  • what grip are you using in your left hand? Chopsticks? ...faggot.

  • Ouch.

  • metriclips: That's the traditional grip, like they learned to play on the old days when they played in the marching bands. A lot of drummers use that even today. I like to use that grip sometimes. It feels relaxed in a way. And..why are you being so rude, when you don't even know anything about it?

  • hahaha you wanker, i'm study post grad percussion major. I was merely making fun of the odd finger placement in the left hand. hahaha everyone knows what traditional grip is - you are the fool for automatically assuming I didn't, when there was good reason for my comment.

Thankyou anyway! I hope you educated someone.

  • You're a post grad idiot.

  • I usually don't feel any compulsion whatsoever to respond to the moronic so-called "feedback" on youtube, but you are a major fucking idiot.

  • cool playing man, what are you hearing in your headphones? a click track?

  • Thanks man. I am listening to a click. If you look closely, you can see my Tama Rhythmwatch blinking in front of my hi-hat.

  • i think the headphones are only for protecting his ears

  • nice

  • nice stuff dude, good luck!

  • your left hand still looks funny to me, but it sounds awesome, so cant fault you there. 1:10 into the video looked really fun, nothing beats the feeling of 2 parts of your kit gelling n sounding great like how you did with your snare n your low tom

  • Thanks man! Yeah, I think my hand should be okay, and the only reason I say that is because I usually obsesse about something like that. I would hate to learn a bad habit (like improper grip) and have it slow me down in the future. I have had my instructor observe it, and he said it looked alright. So hopefully all is well.

  • good stuff man

  • NiCe .... I like it ... Keep playin men, you are a gret drummer ... Your kit it´s nice and sound very clean. I would like to see you in one more HardRock video.

  • Your toms sound awesome.

  • your kit sounds fantastic!

  • Nice work man. Very mature with some of the grooves and I thought the ghost noting was fantastic? Also good call on switching to traditional, i've wanted to do it for a while. How long have you been playing?

  • Thanks! I have been playing almost 3 years.
