After the tragedy of September 11, 2001, I was only 13 at the time, I donated my time to community service, I also donated food to local food banks. Granted I was on the other side of the country, but it still felt good in my heart. For that, I feel I am a patriot. Now being 20, I am looking into serving my country even more by enlisting in the Army.

amazing video. obama is a fraud. I wear a flag pin because it is a symbol of my country, and I feel I am a patriot for it. After the tragedy of September 11, 2001, I was only 13 at the time, I donated my time to community service, I also donated food to local food banks. Granted I was on the other side of the country, but it still felt good in my heart. For that, I feel I am a patriot. Now being 20, I am looking into serving my country even more by enlisting in the Army.

My fellow Christians seem to think our country is suppossed to be a Christian nation. It was set up so everyone has the freedom to practice what they believe, not so the Radical Religious Right can dictate what we believe and how we live. Did Jesus force His views on people? Did he run for office and try to change civil law. Abortion and homosexuality are issues of the heart, and that was the agenda of Jesus: changing hearts.

Love the video. As a European, I'm delighted that patriotism still counts for something in the US. In European countries, especially in the UK, if you express patriotic feelings you are labelled a nationalist, a right-wing extremist, and a xenophobe. The word "nationalism" has become almost synonymous with Nazism. On the other hand, hating your country and your own culture is considered to be enlightened and "progressive". McCain for President!

Obama believes that American children generally are not cognizant of the Pledge's meaning. I can agree with that in part because rote memorization alone is virtually meaningless. His comments seem to mock the children, but one could also interpret his words as a simple challenge to do better. This reminds me of a "friend" I had in school. She would berate me to others and then ask me why I didn't defend myself. Was her intent to make me stronger, or was it to destroy my good name?

Your dissatisfaction for both parties is evident however, by supporting Barr your vote will essentially be lost. Beautiful. I have actually spoken to many LEGAL immigrants who have a deep love and gratitude for this nation. Its wonderful to talk to these people who get up every morning and thank God for the privilege of being here, for having access to clean, safe water, nutritious food, health care, chance at a job - any job - that earns enough money to live decent lives, to be able to walk down a clean street, smell fresh grass, and know that if someone tries to harm you, you call 911 and HELP COMES.

Few Americans have a clue what its like to come back from a couple years in a sweltering 3rd World nation where ppl who complain about government get tortured to death, to fight crowds at dusty airports boarding and deboarding, and then finally see America beneath you, come off the plane & realize you'd forgotten the smell of clean grass & the absence of sewage, to watch a smile spread across the face of a customs official as he hands you your passport and says, "Welcome home, Caroline."

Liberal academia would have us all believe that 100% of the responsibility for all the world's ills rests squarely on the backs of the United States of America, that we should all be ashamed of our nation and ashamed of our God. I will not vote for anyone who is sympathetic to islam, and that's that. I just got accused of being a racist. This is becoming ridiculous. I don't care for Michelle Obama either. She is pushy, and very disapproving. If Obama was fair about religion, and his wife was nice, I would vote for him.
