  • lol u even landed in the grass!! like a touch and go in the grass and level out atleast if your gonna retract the flaps

  • not supposed to change aircraft config until out of windshear

  • ive never got a wind shear alert on fs9 or fsx i fly with all pmdg and flight 1 is there any way of setting up in the weather options some how

  • i haved 2 encounters, both just after takeoff.

  • In real world you have to do this:

    *Windshear windshear*

    Callout WINDSHEAR TOGA

Do not change config until out of shear

Closely monitor flight path and speed

  • etihad training vid? :D

  • Yup! :D

  • lol hehe

  • Nice viedo !5 feet from ground@@!

Same thing: keep the flaps and landing gear config until recovery from the wind shear.

Use Pitch to control the speed then you can get the max climb rate and don't need to retract the flaps.

    "I" think FS2004 is a Simulator not a Game,so "I" make it as a job and I really enjoy in it : ]

  • you kick that losers ass! i enjoyed this video - and he is wrong - flaps do in fact generate lift. This is why they use them on shortfield take offs.

  • whats windsheer? sry, im new to this, and FSX is newer right? like what SpeedSter159 said

  • FSX is more newer that this right?

  • yes it is newer

  • hey, just to let you know, i have never ever encountered windshear on a final approach on fs2004 yet!

Only crosswinds... that's it. Good decision though :)

  • Haha, thanks.

  • i hate windshear it always happenst to me LOL because i suck at landing in FSX

  • as soon as you get the windshear alarm on approach initiate Go-Around... and why did you retract the flaps, when you get such a descend rate? do not retract flaps when initiating a go-around, first build up sufficient speed / altitude. to early flap retraction will result in a significant loss of lift...

  • I know all of that. 1) I did not go-around because I was testing the effects of windshear on flight sim. 2) I retracted flaps when the speed was sufficient. Example; when it said flaps retraction, I was putting flaps to 25 because I was reaching the limit for the flaps. 3) Thanks for your input and commenting.

  • Looks like we have an expert on our hands....

You retracted your flaps when you started sinking. Horrible move, this would in turn provide less lift to help from sinking.

Don't try to BS us when we can simply watch the video and point out your obvious beginner mistakes.

  • But you do have to realize, once you reach the speed to retract the flaps, you have to retract the flaps. Besides, I don't know why anyone takes flight sim seriously.

  • This is a FLIGHT SIM not real life guys! Do u talk like "Omg, Your Vertical Speed went 0.000001 degrees wrong"!

  • @Joonatanp99 That's true but some people that play flight simulator a lot think that they know how to fly a real plane and therefore pass on bad advice to would-be real world pilots or make know-it-all comments on real flying videos.

  • Only one windshear on board a 737-200 on final approach to SCEL, fortunately nothing happened =)

    Good video btw...5*

  • Thanks! Great nothing happened, I hate windshear so much unless I want to fly through it, which I never want to fly through it. Once it had made me crash into a high-rise building.

  • i hate windshere

you know what im gonna land right now with a 747 and make wind sheer

  • WOW
