Great Video. Besides the song "Final Cut", this is my favorite on that album. Yes, I realize SOME say it has to do with a nuclear holocaust, but to me, it has to do with looking back and enjoying it, but not dwelling on it, which I seem to do almost always. Thanks for the upload! Awesome job!

I think it fits all to well describing the final moments of my best friends life. As the windshield melts, from the fire, and my tears evaporate, leaving only charcoal to defend. Ashes, and diamonds, the diamonds being the shattered glass, sliding towards a big truck, you streatch the frozen moments with your fear. Then its over, Life is done. We will all be there some day, we are all equal, in the end.

@attapattapie To say you completely understand the song is childish, you can search for the truth of the song and grow ever closer to the true meaning, but you did not write the song so you can never know the complete meaning behind the song. Also I see it as it actually meaning that 2 suns set. Like Tatooine because of an event predicted by the Mayans, but it's just an opinion. Don't think your better than others because you think you know the meaning of something, In the end we are all same.

@Blades11c The meaning and the story are pretty clear: A man is driving down a road with his family when a nuke is dropped and the feelings and thoughts of anger, disbelief, and sadness as the man watches his family die before he dies as well. As far as backstory for the song, only Waters would know.

@bradco6 To add to my own previous statement: This album came out in 1983 when the U.S. was still in a cold war with the Soviet Union. The threat of a nuclear holocaust was very real at the time. I doubt Waters was thinking about Star War movies or ancient Mayan predictions when he wrote this.
