  • I am completely blown away. This is amazing.

  • I hope my high school's drama club does this...

  • This is a good argument for why High schools should NOT get the rights to cats. Very bad costumes, and to many people in the cast. -feels claustrophobic just looking at it- Costumes are ugly and do not stand out on their own (Most the CATS have the same basic boring design) The dancing could be good, but their are so many people it is impossible for them to all be in-sync so it just looks like a jumbled mess.

  • wow this is really good for a high school production...most high school productions of any show are completely unwatchable (in the grand scheme of things) but this is better than most community theatre productions ive seen...

they must've worked/whipped the living daylights out of these kids

  • Most of the costumes look pretty slapstick and amateurish, and a lot of the choreography was copied from the movie — but it's still the first time I've seen an American version of Cats where the accent didn't make me want to vomit! The voices were incredible, and though I haven't seen any complicated dancing yet, the acting is above average at least, which is more than I can say for most productions.

  • I actually like the fast pace of this song. It works. It gives the show some energy.

  • have you, by any chance done the Phantom Of The Opera?

  • I kinda' wish that Andrew would make a new production, kinda' like this, and with a new Cast, and celebrate THIS Musical's Anniversary, even though he IS celebrating that of the Phantom this year, in five more days

  • the awkward moment when half the choreography is copied from the movie....

  • wow!!! really really really! I have to say, first fo all, I'm surprised that there are soo many cats! I dont recognize them all, but some. And the singing is good, in my opinion, the choir is really fine. But it's a pity that the costumes are a little bad. But the choreography is admirable! Really, one can see, that they're not all kind of these great balet dancers, and so they changes the dancing so that everybody can dance it well and though it looks great!!!

  • is boring is stupid in mexico is very nice

  • at first i thought it was a professionally done play, then i read the description...

    SO COOL!!!

  • No offense, but they have to many cats...

    Nice job though!

  • It is very well done. Only thing is a production, even a High School, should not have so many CATS. They need to only have the cats who have names. Like they do on stage. The stage show has no chorus CATS. Every cat has names.

  • @inlovewithKStewart22

eh. tell that to the people that fund the shows and build the sets. they'll disagree i'm sure.

and if you check the credits, you will see that all have names.

    everyone gets their start somewhere.

and it IS a public school that people in the district pay taxes to, so everyone has the right to the experience.

    but thank you.

  • @ThatweirdkidDom There is no Georgia in CATS. And Mistoffelees and Quaxo are supposed to be the same cat. And Swings aren't supposed to have names neither. Only the CATS from the tour or the movie are the ones they should have. But I will tell you this much, this high school is 100% better than my high school. My high school butchered the beautiful musical. Only Tugger and Deuteronomy were good. Everyone else was awful. I wanna be Munkustrap so bad.

  • @inlovewithKStewart22 I'm in a production of CATS right now, and it is a youth production. We have about 60 cats (and kittens), however, not everyone is in every song, including this one. And most of them DON'T have names, and the solos are pretty much random except for Grizabella, Old Deuteronomy, Munkustrap, and Jennyanydots (Me). But yes, I agree with you.

  • @Soon2beonbroadway thank God, someone agrees with me.

  • @inlovewithKStewart22

    regardless of your opinion.

two grades consist of 1400 kids.

the taxes we pay are some of the highest in the states.

if everyone would like to participate in the musical, they have that right.

it's a highschool production, and the directors do as they please.

if we have fifty two talented kids?

then fifty two talented kids are in the show.

EVERY cat danced and sang for every song.

if you watch the entire show, you'll see that everyone in this show deserved it.

  • @Soon2beonbroadway haha it is the same with my highschool we had 80 cats but it was too much to go on stage so we had to split the cast.

  • @inlovewithKStewart22 its a high school production! they cant just say 'sorry youre not talented enough to be in our play' every kid who wants to should get to be involved!

  • @kanumbra :( That's what it was like at my high school. :( That's why I didn't get in. They say "Sorry you're not talented enough to be in our play"

  • @inlovewithKStewart22 Actually, if you look at the cast list for the original London cast of the show, there's about 5-7 members deemed as "Chorus Cats", with no other names to distinguish them.

  • @inlovewithKStewart22 That's not true, almost every production of Cats has Chorus cats (except for the film version) For example, go to bellesdomain . co . uk click on Cats than click on character galeries and than click on chorus cat, you'll see that that the London show had much chorus cats ;)

  • N. Allegheny has such an amazing theater program. My cousin was the witch they did the wizard of oz.

  • There were too many people at the beginning - it would have been more effective if there were only one or two.

The choreography looked messy - I know that the cats need to have individual personalities, but you could have had parts where the choreography was set and other times where they could make it their own.

The Naming of Cats is usually done much slower and with fewer movements than you guys did - but hey, thats not your fault; you just did it as it was taught to you.

    Well done though!!

  • I went to see the traveling broadway play :) I lovedd itttt

  • Amazing. I always dreamed of doing this in high school but the show as still running and my director didn't want us to do it. I love it. Great job!

  • i am truly jealous! ive never seen this live, but ive watched the video several times and im in love with it. i wish my High School choir could have done this---its my dream to perform it!

  • @bomberswimming11

    did.

    and i must say.

i'm not in the least bit impressed.

    sorry.

  • I love 2:30 the best!

  • I'm so glad I got to see this production, and it's awesome to see it again on here!

  • i would kill to be a part of this musical. Problem #1: I can't sing worth anything. But I can dance! Maybe I can lip-sync.........

  • seriously, was this a school production!?!?!

    it is UNBELIEVABLE!!! congratulation!!

    which cat did you play?

  • @metstudioversions

    haha truly a highschool production.

and i'm glad to hear it :D.

and nada. i skipped callbacks for mungojerrie, so just stayed in the ensemble.

  • @ThatweirdkidDom well, again, congratulations! LOL

    very well done!

  • @metstudioversions You need higher standards.

  • Its my dram to play in this musical

    This is great

  • @krkbw

    aah well thank you :).

i'm truly grateful that my school has the funds and support for such an incredible directing team, set, costume, lighting, you name it.

    we're very fortunate.
