  • why are so many cnc machines only capable of cutting like 3" Z, yet they can cut 24" X and 12" Y ???? it would be that hard to make the z a little taller.... im doing that with mine... once i get it up and running (busy with school) i'll make some vids to prove it and that im not just a troll)

    You will lose rigity as you increase the Z travel due to the increased length of the lever arm. It's just a trade off.

  • If you scratch build it, total cost of materials and components is around $600.

  • what type of steppermotor did u use?

  • They are 200oz/in motors on x/y and 80oz/in on z. Motors are unipolar from hobbycnc.
