Instead the hounds follow and track a scent laid down by a runner. You might not think a horse being repeatedly walked into you, having your car blocked in and being sworn at by thugs is intimidating but most people would disagree. The horse was clearly under control and deliberately walked into her but even if you believe it was a young misbehaving horse, the rider could have kept his distance or dismounted to keep it under control.

personal filming of people in public places is not subject to any legal restrictions. Does my Conservative MP really support such people? @maverickbarrett Well that doesn't make sense, as foxes are sometimes bred to be hunted. If a fox is damaging livestock and crops then the farmer should shoot it. Problem solved. Also how do you propose a hill farmer who cannot lamp due to the terrain and cannot snare because he is on a national park control foxes? the only solution is hounds. get the message you are never going to stop us it is a tradition from before your time and will go on long after you are dead.

People calling this woman brave and courageous and such are not being that realistic about how intimidating and provocative it is to follow and film people. Men on a horse aren't doing anything illegally. The only thing that should be filmed is an illegal kill or an imminent one. How patient would anyone be with someone with a camera in their face constantly while conducting a personal social or leisure activity? Great footage! The actions and comments made by members of the hunt are hateful and appalling, but the film-maker shows wonderful courage throughout despite physical intimidation and verbal abuse. The hunters reveal themselves for what they are. Their behavior is sickening. Thank you for making this film.

Also, all the video propaganda in the world won't show that the huntsman intentionally put the hounds on the line of a fox in contravention of the Hunting with Dogs legislation.
Sometimes the hounds do what they have been bred to do and chase foxes that they unfortunately come across while following a drag line.
Also footage gathered like this has been deemed unadmissable in Law because the owner would have to be granted a licence to provide covert surveillence to the courts.

The police are too busy with proper crime;
The Hunting with Dogs law is un-enforcable;
Fox hunting won't ever stop;
Anti's are now "monitors";

@lurcher08 Whatever you may think about fox hunting, it is illegal at the present time and is therefore a police matter.
You might not think a horse being repeatedly walked into you, having your car blocked in and being sworn at by thugs is intimidating but most people would disagree. The horse was clearly under control and deliberately walked into her but even if you believe it was a young misbehaving horse, the rider could have kept his distance or dismounted to keep it under control.

personal filming of people in public places is not subject to any legal restrictions. Does my Conservative MP really support such people? If this had been going on in an urban housing estate prosecution/asbos might very well occur. You obviously can use foul personally insulting language if you have the right accent. Are people allowed to be on the public highway with horses they "cannot" control? If it was a dog not a horse they wouldn't be allowed to.
