@ElMarineroErrante They had devices that looked like iPads in 2001: Space Odyssey, and that was made in the 1960's. It's not exactly an original idea.
great scene. if you or anyone reading this has the scene where garibaldi "fires" the old board of directors, please upload it. i really loved that scene (major ownage on garibaldi's part).
@Fangtorn but hes not promoting every troublemaker.... just 6 of them but those 6 are only considered troublemakers cuz they do a certain something.... for example, think they can do it better then their boss and try to point out what they are doing wrong (when some of the times ppl can do better then bosses)... hes not picking the troublemakers who are for example being lazy and complaining about doing work, etc.
@Fangtorn However, he made it entirely clear from the start of the meeting that if they were right, there would be bonuses, but if they were wrong, there would be consequences. It shows he's willing to consider how things are being done, and proposed changes.
This is a demonstration of a willingness to consider drastic shifts in company policies, so long as they're well reasoned, well considered, and well presented.
One of the worst things someone in a postion of authority can do is surround themselves with yes men. If your people are afraid to give you honest feedback you will never hear about problems until they become crises.
@studentofsmith The problem is known as 'incestuous amplification.' When a management person hears nothing but "What a great idea, sir!" they start to believe they are God, incapable of making a mistake. That's when the trouble starts.
@BloodofPatriots I've got to say, I don't agree with that. I thought B5 had some fantastic supporting actors- names like Michael York and David Warner come to mind. Even those that weren't stunning were still very good at the roles there were assigned. But then, that's my opinion :)
@BloodofPatriots Not what I'm talking about. The guest actors like Micheal York and David Warner were great, I'm talking about the regulars in the background like that idiot in Ops.
@Trek001 Yes. That idiot Joshua Cox ruined every scene where he opened his mouth. "Jump points forming right on top of us".... [Sheridan] How many? .... [Corwing] Deep breathe... ( Now act like you're surprised when you couldn't act surprised if Anna Nicole Smith fell naked onto your face)... FIVE!
It was god awful pain watching him screw up scenes by over-acting.
What's with the iPads on the board?
Yes, I KNOW this was made almost 20 years ago when iAnything was not yet made. But that's the first thing that popped on my head.

I don't think promoting every "troublemaker" in a mid-level position is a good employment strategy.

Thanks for uploading this clip! Also I totally disagree with BloodofPatriots, B5 had a great supporting cast.

Babylon 5 must hold the record for the worst supporting actors in history. It's a shame given how good the main cast is in comparison.
