Look up MK ULTRA. Risk is a stupid reason to outlaw something. We let people jump motorcycles off of buildings, yet we don't let them use LSD conscientiously. It's very sad a man such as Dr. Shulgin get's so little respect for his research.

Though if you are using psychadelics as well as any drug in massive quantities, inappropriate environments like driving car while intoxicated, etc. You are part of the problem and are ruining an otherwise good thing for everyone else.

There used to be a time when it was wrong to disect the human body. Those involved would have to hide their research. Dr. Shulgin may or may not be a crackpot, but the possible benefits of his research warrants his disregard for the general feelings of society towards mind altering drugs. The MC at this event is either covering his ass, or he is ignorant of the chances that the great people of science took when they set about on their passions of discovery. Either way, the MC is a coward.

Agree, geezer ignorant, chatting bare shit! that guy they are talking about was murdered,( C.I.A scientist: Frank Oslen- check out Wikipedia under MKULTRA) was gonna be a whistleblower on the C.I.A's activities, i.e. MKULTRA, testing unsuspecting agents and members of the public without their knowledge with LSD in order to find out how to control people' minds for assasinations and shit like that. There is some conspiracy that there is a UFO connection among all that.

I saw something about that. MK ULTRA was quite the group. They were funded to do experiments on basically anything that could be thought of.

Now to respond to what you said. The unibomber was also upset by the studies done by MK ULTRA.

There was a substance they used (can't remember the name) that, let's say you got it on your hands, Now that it is on your hands most anything you touched will absorb through your skin at waay higher levels than normal. SO if you touched LSD or something similar with your hands you would be trippin' balls. I heard that the CIA used this on people without telling them. I cannot for the life of me remember what it was, if you know plz let me know. also sorry i didn't exactly know how to word this

What really happened to Frank Olson, the poor guy who jumped out of the window, was the following. Frank Olson was working for the CIA and was thinking about quitting because he believed that it was a corrupt institution and was not comfortable with the experiments they were conducting. This worried his CIA colleagues because they were afraid Frank was going to make all the experiments public. LSD was seen as a truth serum by the CIA,so they gave it to Olson to interrogate him...

and see how much he knew about the CIA experiments. After he was given LSD, something happened to him, probably depression from being given LSD by his own colleagues as a means of truth extraction. Frank was taken to New York and kept in an apartment, without being given any psychiatric help. A WEEK LATER after the LSD trip, he committed suicide.

Dr. Koch says we're conscious of "his voice", but that's incorrect. Guess he means it just as matter of speech, but it is important to get right when the conference is on "Getting a Grasp on Consciousness".

I understood what "consciousness" is only after I read Dr. Ashoi's book, MIND DIMENSION.

I wonder if Dr. Koch and others have read the book MIND DIMENSION. Luckily came across videos Reality of Sensory World) at YouTuber 'Mindlighten'. At first I didn't understand but now I do.

Have you read Koch's book? I haven't read Ashoi's book, but I don't see how a Mind "Dimension" is even possible. Those cartesian hypothesis don't explain the origins of subjectivity, they simply push it into a different dimension.
