Metroid has never been as big in Japan as it has been in Western countries. :)

I think the games mentioned in the video were popular in the 80s over in Japan. Don't know why Spelunker keeps showing up in these type of Famicom like tributes, but it seems to be one of the more nostalgic games amongst the Japanese. Wish I could find out why! (^o^)
