It depends what base system you use. However its never going to be exactly the same as the generic metric measurements because one byte is either four bits or eight bits (generally eight) and it cant be more because the sum has to add up to 256. I.e 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 1 2 4 8 16 32 64 128 Lets say I want to write my age in binary! :21 right to left first number to fit in 21? 16 so 16+4+1 10101000 Understand?
Binary can get complicated but the principle itself is very simple Remember in school you have a light bulb and a battery and two wires? one wire connected so its on 1=on one wire disconnected so its off 0=off Bulb is obviously off so.... so in binary 1+0 = 0 (bulb off) both wires connected.... 1+1=1 (bulb on) Binary is everywhere in life! Even our bodys! Traffic lights for example! It gets complicated but starts of sooo sooo simple!! :D

Actually, the price currently in South Africa on the 1.5TB drive is R2399 ($266)& the 1TB is retailing for approx. R1499 ($166) however, this is on Seagate, they are little more expensive than Samsung..
