  • If Steve Jobs tells you to build pyramids and fly around on jet packs, you don't ask questions, you just do it . . .

  • How can you say no to this man?

  • probably last public appearance...

  • @frantahouska uhhh no... this was the address in 2006... his last one was in june 2006 video is also on youtube.

  • @MTran0708 i mean june 2011.

  • @MTran0708 yes. thats the one i meant.

  • @frantahouska This was posted in 2006...

  • @linkfan22 my bad, there must be another video when he was presenting his new project.I saw that on TV.

  • Is the mayor of cupertino the gay dude from entourage?

  • RIP Steve Jobs.

    Keep Thinking Different

  • RIP Steve Jobs

  • Steve Jobs is the Thomas Edison of our time. For those of you that say that he is just a businessman, please name another businessman with such incredible standards for design, function, and innovation. The iPod, iPad, Mac, Pixar, and this building are tremendous achievements. Every day, hundreds of millions of people bring joy to their lives through Apple's products and you would have none of it without Steve Jobs. Not to mention the high paying jobs Apple provides. Next: Apple TV! iTV?

  • where's all the people? In the newer video there were tons....

  • if you watch the newest one... He sound's weak. I hope he is ok.

  • @steavedaver :'(

  • Cupertino is ridiculous. The council members practically kiss Jobs' feet. In a the most recent meeting featuring Jobs, a council member comments about having an apple store in Cupertino saying, "we'll help you make it successful." What corruption! In other words, "we'll give you a tax break so I don't have to drive so far."

  • @TheNubbbler funny how one of the judge couldn't even slide to unlock on the iPad2 as well lol

  • Typical government idiots.

  • what bout those existing small businesses in the space where this building is going to be?

and i would be curious to see the EIR on this project.

  • The iBuilding

  • @ZeroC0ol1989 LOL. its not. its a community hall right next to my local library which supports the 5 middle schools that get top 10 in the state...

  • @dying2comment

The iBuilding was already completed building?

  • its the Satellite of Love :)

  • Really smart questions from the council, huh.

  • anyone else notice that the new campus design looks like an old ipod shuffle?

  • what is the point of this campus?

  • @dying2l-To put as many of their engineers, etc. under the same roof. Business 101 tells you by keeping your people together breeds team work rather than a bunch of people working in different directions.

  • @dying2l-Business 101 tells you to keep the team together for maximum cohesiveness.

  • @dying2l To create iPeople

  • waste of time, steve Jobs comes here to let bullshit asian councils flatter his dick.

  • 2:44 The iScratch

  • 0:55 The iScratch

  • They know, he's cheating them and the IRS on taxes so they're really asking for shut-up money!

  • I am no apple fanboy but you have to respect this guy. He is older and not as vibrant as he once was but he has a calm "been there done that" like presence about him.

  • Visionary comes to you with a no-brainer offer to build the future in your back yard and the dinosaurs on the bench ask stupid-ass questions like "Have you considered safety" and "Can we get free WiFi."

    Thumbs up if you agree.

  • @roguetrooper815 agree, although check out how much saliva the Mayor left on Steve's ass in that other clip.

  • @roguetrooper815 Thumbs up if you have no clue what this guy said.

  • @roguetrooper815 hindsight is always 20/20. The wifi thing is obviously a joke if you have any sense of humor. When it come to gov we want them to do their due diligent and ask all the relevant questions. We don't want them to say no need to question 50b fund guy, too big to fail, bank will not do liars loans and etc.

  • nwo 666 evil steve must die!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • his health is deteriorating.

  • God what a stupid questions from the City Council.....

  • @RogierYou They have to ask some questions, the questions are obligatory, just because its Steve Jobs doesn't mean everyone needs to passively bow down to his interests, thats just asking to get screwed. Think.

  • This is just a formality.

  • This is just a formality.

  • LOL at the applause, the panel are fans. Indeed they DID grow more than even Steve could of imagined.

  • Whos we? (to PK9602) ... Obviously not most of the windows world :P hahaha

  • This is crazy. Why have I never seen this?

  • What is he looking to get, tax credit and favors?

  • He's so simple. You listen to his speech and how he scratches his stomach to pull his thoughts together, the way he swings his arms, it all sets the impression that this guy is not a billionaire who changed the way we interact with technology but rather some random dude down the block. I feel privileged to witness to live in his lifetime. I will be telling my grandkids 50 years from now that back in the day I watched his keynotes live.

  • Comment removed

  • @runrunforest1 I don't think it really matters if Apple will be broke or not. They have already changed a lot in our lifetime.

  • @ckhalifazada You people are pathetic, seriously idealizing a cutthroat computer nerd, fucking morons. You don't get to the top being nice. Naive idiots.

  • Jeez, he talks the same way, whether it be to ten people or a thousand.

  • LOL, This is so bizarre.

  • Steve is greate seller

  • awkward.

  • Apple now bought the old HP campus

  • @isaiahcruz I wonder if Apple had anything to do with HP's disappearance.

  • @DareenBeat yes

  • What's the all the asian concil members?

  • @BulleTOfIce

    It's cupertino

  • @2550505 So? I far as I know, Cupertino is in California.

  • @BulleTOfIce

Your not from the bay area are you?

  • @2550505 I'm european :)

  • @BulleTOfIce

    Cupertino has alot of asians

  • oh god look at all these mac fanboys

  • @orrdoggery oh god

  • IPOD FATHER

  • Cupertino's city council is Steve Job's puppet hahaha

  • city hall sucking the apple dick

  • Is this campus built yet?

  • @marco114 Oh yea a couple years ago!!

  • Man! Cupertino gets Steve Jobs on there channel!

  • what a cool guy --

  • governments are useless.

they tax people that work so they can give themselves high pay.

steve jobs should be president but we have useless people like bush, obama, clinton and mccain.

  • @hyylo Jobs is a marketing guy. That's not exactly the most important skill of a president...

  • @mathieuemi666

lol. do you really think bush, obama, clinton and mccain control the country?

Most people on this planet dont even question who prints the paper money we use? The people who control the money supply control the country.

Could i please ask you to seach youtube for the video called:

Money Banking and the Federal Reserve

you might also find this video helpful on youtube:

    Zeitgeist Bank

Steve Jobs makes products and jobs for people. Governments tax people who work.

    Think!

  • @hyylo Thank you for your arrogance.

    First of all:

Steve Jobs is not Apple. 40,000+ people work for Apple. Thousands of employees are designers, developers, etc.

You couldn't know that, but I've studied Economics for 4 years.

The paper money is really nothing. 95% of money is virtual: bank transfers, credit cards.

Nobody makes paper money. In most cases it's a government-independent organization, for example "European Central Bank" or "Banque nationale suisse"

    Govs even taxes unemployed people

  • @mathieuemi666

    Do you understand economics?

Paper money has no real value that is why we have inflation.

Inflation is the fall in the value of paper money which is why living costs increase each year.

Why is Gold and Silver increasing in price each year? Gold and Silver cannot be printed and they are rare.

Search youtube for: Money Banking and the Federal Reserve

It will explain real economics to you!

  • @hyylo Earlier I said

    Steve Jobs is not Apple.

    As a matter of fact:

Obama is not US, even with big influence.

I don't understand your point of view.

First you said govs are useless, then you want Jobs to be US president?

I think USA should try the "swiss way". It's based on the US one in fact:

Citizens of every state elect deputees: 2 for each state, and 1 to 30 depending of the state population. Each law should be accepted in the two groups. and the bigger one elect 7 "presidents".

  • @mathieuemi666

Steve Jobs creates jobs and innovation.

What did Clinton, Bush and Obama do? WAR WAR WAR WAR and gave our Money to the banks!!

  • nanananananananana LEADER!!

  • just more advertising for his cult

  • @jdjamesproductions He had a designer many years ago make him black mock turtlenecks, he wears them as he states because he doesn't need to waste the brain power on deciding what to wear.. Dude thinks on a whole nother level than the average person

  • He could have sent an email?

  • So when all the sycophants he's surrounded by at Apple have gone home for the day, and he feels like his ego hasn't been massaged enough, he walks down to the city council for a bit more.

  • Lmao hes the only reason I'm proud to say I'm from cupertino.

  • Steve Jobs pays for the City Council's members salaries.

  • HAHA HER LAST NAME IS WANG

  • @shuyin3210 English is not my mother tongue.

I'd never heard "Wang" is anything else than a name. She has chinese origins, what's the problem. Why do you hate people different than you? (In this case you don't like anyone here as everybody is different)

  • @mathieuemi666

lmfao, mother tongue? ur mothers tongue does feel good

  • @shuyin3210 It's sad you didn't know "mother tongue" stands for first or native language...

  • @shuyin3210 What an answer to my message!

This shows you're not proud of what you said...

  • Jobs should run for the presedency

  • @coldplay1127 Haha but maybe then he'll make the air that we breathe cost 50 a square foot per minute lol

  • Steve Jobs OWNS Cupertino.

  • Steve Jobs must be having a screw loose, California will be bankrupt when this Campus is finished, Cuppertino remains in the lost Golden State. Thanks to Big Spending on Government, Politicians and Union (Leaders).

    Great thinking mr Jobs.

  • @Sys8dmin

The campus has been built for 2-3 years! Great thinking, Mr. Jackass!

By the way, is it Ay-pri-cot or Ap-pri-cot?

  • i'd like steve jobs to magically turn up and address my work every day :(

especially in the turtle neck, i cant believe he really wears those out of work :p

  • Steve Jobs's an amazing guy

  • i love it how he just walks in, just like anybody

  • He is just anybody.

  • @Timbo992 Thanks for that.

It's like other stars. There are just the same as us. They didn't do anything that made them more important.

Steve Jobs is just a businessman.

Alessandro Volta, Einstein, Louis Pasteur, Beethoven, Mozart for example are what I call VIPs !

I bet you don't even know who Volta is. Apple would just have disappeared because they couldn't have created the iPhone in 2001, which really saved their business.

  • @mathieuemi666 you idiot, the iPhone came out in 2007

  • @mathieuemi666 I'm Italian and I know who Volta is. But you don't understand how tons of innovations were possible cause of the Mac and Steve Jobs. Pretty much evrything about computer that we have today was possible thanks to UI and typography that were on Mac. So Steve Jobs is a VIP like Volta or others in my view.

  • @mathieuemi666 I meant iPod of course.

I think everybody understood that but you.

  • excellent work!

  • Comment removed

  • are you homosexual for him?

  • Oh dear...

  • ass-kissing jajajjajajaja

  • Mr. Mayor, we love your computers.

  • The ass-kissing sure is thick in that room. Especially Wang; I've never seen her so giddy.

  • Mr. Job? lol

  • This was even before the emergence of the iPhone! I wonder how much bigger his staff is now and will they need even additional space with all the success the phone/app store has had.

  • Well let's take a look at the most important size measurement in the corporate world. Revenue. He is talking about 20 billion in annual revenues. Last quarter Apple had a record 15.7 billion revenue compared to 11.9 billion last year that's a 32% increase. Annual revenue was 43 billion last year so that would give us an estimate of about 57billion this year. So almost three times as large than at the time of this video (of course personnel doesn't quite scale accordingly).

  • @ipbalkenende Their revenue is the same size as Ireland's tax take for the year 2008. Goes to show how gigantic Apple has gotten since Jobs came back.

  • That would mean a net tax rate of 25% for Ireland... Even for Ireland I highly doubt that.

  • @ipbalkenende What are you talking about? I'm Irish... I've seen the government's budget... We have a rate of 21% and a higher rate of 41%... and Corporate tax... and vat... and a bunch of other things...

  • I think it's so cool of him to be so straight up with them, caring about the community and even take the time to speak before a little city council like that.

It speaks volumes about his character.

  • We LOVE the leader!

  • Apple and Steve Jobs is Cupertino.

  • At the start it said that there was a 3 minute time limit, he went on for longer than 3 minutes... I'm not against that, just pointing it out.

  • the funny thing is that jobs can buy out all the mediocre govt cheese workers in the room 100X over.

  • Yeah, I guess he's telling them they'll be getting alot more tax money from their expansion though lol

  • And yet the entire reason silicon valley, computing and internet came into being was govt cheese... (Cheese of the military variety!)

  • "Government Cheese" would be a great name for an early-nineties garage band.

  • mr job steve?

  • God gave this guy just too many talents!

  • @careymahoney1974 i think god gave him just one talent. people talent. he sucks at technology (he can only boast caligraphy and that's not even tech), he cant sing and dance. kidding aside, one word - charisma.

  • "Mr. Job" :(

  • lol

  • If I was on the bench, I would have been like "For Christ sakes Jobs, is this going anywhere?" Lol...

  • LOL I know right!

  • heck our council in Scranton Pa would take other peoples property off them by eminint domain and give it 2 steve tax free for 10 years they do it now 4 all there friends here

  • why the hell is he telling them this...

  • wants to get his approvals through quicker n he keeps mentioning price n how lucky he was to find something there, its not that its only him thats lucky if he's their largest tax payer. they're pretty damn lucky that he was able to find something as well.

  • sounds like he was hinting at a reduced tax rate...

  • They wont let him leave Cupertino at any cost :))))))))

  • you would think that if steve jobs were at a city council meeting those seats would be filled, seems kinda dead...

  • Maybe it wasn't publicly known that he's gonna attend. I bet if it was, it would have been filled with every apple fanbody in the area.

LOL, "Mr. Job" instead of Jobs - I think 3 different council members said it.

  • @compudude86 He came to the City Council meeting without any notification to the City, and appears no notification to the Press. He spoke in the portion called 'Oral Communications' which is specifically for talking about things that are not on the current agenda. And, the Council are prohibited, by law, from making any decisions on the topic.

  • was at the campus today

  • A very charismatic guy! I think he's great. The Apple product range kinda inspire me to send my resume to Apple and ask for job.

  • there is no other

  • oh ya, i am gonna move into the new campus.

  • "You get a child and then you educate that child"

    WTF?!

  • she wants steve to kidnap a child and educate the child

  • hahah they never saw it coming

  • lol i live in the tiny city of cupertino

i didnt even know we had a city council

well, i did, but yeah (:

  • I can't wait to see it when it's done!

  • Thats hilarious he still has his Smart Water and hand motions he uses in Keynotes

  • educate that child? wtf?

  • haha Steve Jobs is cool

  • Oh wow! It looks like the Presidium of the Communist Party of Cupertino, CAL..

Even the seats resemble those in the Kremlin.

  • If the City Councils are anything like they are in Britain, he should have kicked the buggers up the arse.

  • he looks really skinny compared to five years ago

  • We're your largest taxpayer, hint hint.

  • Steve Jobs is loaded with money so why does he only have one shirt?

  • Maybe it's like in that Simpsons episode, where you see Homer's wardrobe, and it's full of white shirts, blue trousers.

In Jobsie's case, black shirt tucked into jeans! =]

  • Because its his Carisma, he has his own culture, he always had those clothes (The style) I think he started to wear that style since 1975.

  • because i think its for promo purposes, like everyone expects him to wear that as everyone expects him to say at his keynotes, "there is one more thing," he did wear something different for like the harvard speech(only instance i know of

  • He probably has like 50 of the same one.

I wear jeans everyday and have like 7 pairs. Everyday I wear one.

  • It's obvious Steve likes Apple's home and wants to keep it there.

I've heard from reliable sources that he has NEVER visited Elk Grove, or Austin!

I wonder if he had ever visited the East Bay...

  • pretty hilarious like an snl skit. it takes jobs 10 minutes to tell a two minute story! ha! and the city council just goes on and on with the ass kissing! ha

well, guess it was just a slow night down in ol' cupertino!

  • You know, that's why he is Steve Jobs and you are nobody. He knows how to do his job without your advice...

  • Exactly, The "three minute limit" does not apply to his majesty.

Just wait until I invent sub-title spectacles. Then I'll be "somebody" and Jobs will be "nobody"!!! HWAHWAHWA!!!
