Steve Jobs is the Thomas Edison of our time. For those of you that say that he is just a businessman, please name another businessman with such incredible standards for design, function, and innovation. The iPod, iPad, Mac, Pixar, and this building are tremendous achievements. Every day, hundreds of millions of people bring joy to their lives through Apple's products and you would have none of it without Steve Jobs. Not to mention the high paying jobs Apple provides. Next: Apple TV! iTV?
Cupertino is ridiculous. The council members practically kiss Jobs' feet. In a the most recent meeting featuring Jobs, a council member comments about having an apple store in Cupertino saying, "we'll help you make it successful." What corruption! In other words, "we'll give you a tax break so I don't have to drive so far."
@dying2l-To put as many of their engineers, etc. under the same roof. Business 101 tells you by keeping your people together breeds team work rather than a bunch of people working in different directions.

This was even before the emergence of the iPhone! I wonder how much bigger his staff is now and will they need even additional space with all the success the phone/app store has had.
Well let's take a look at the most important size measurement in the corporate world. Revenue. He is talking about 20 billion in annual revenues. Last quarter Apple had a record 15.7 billion revenue compared to 11.9 billion last year that's a 32% increase. Annual revenue was 43 billion last year so that would give us an estimate of about 57billion this year. So almost three times as large than at the time of this video (of course personnel doesn't quite scale accordingly).
@ipbalkenende Their revenue is the same size as Ireland's tax take for the year 2008. Goes to show how gigantic Apple has gotten since Jobs came back.
@ipbalkenende What are you talking about? I'm Irish... I've seen the government's budget... We have a rate of 21% and a higher rate of 41%... and Corporate tax... and vat... and a bunch of other things...

because i think its for promo purposes, like everyone expects him to wear that as everyone expects him to say at his keynotes, "there is one more thing," he did wear something different for like the harvard speech(only instance i know of
pretty hilarious like an snl skit. it takes jobs 10 minutes to tell a two minute story! ha! and the city council just goes on and on with the ass kissing! ha
well, guess it was just a slow night down in ol' cupertino!

mathieuemi666 1 year ago
@mathieuemi666
lol. do you really think bush, obama, clinton and mccain control the country?
Most people on this planet dont even question who prints the paper money we use? The people who control the money supply control the country.
Could i please ask you to seach youtube for the video called:
Money Banking and the Federal Reserve
you might also find this video helpful on youtube:
Zeitgeist Bank
Steve Jobs makes products and jobs for people. Governments tax people who work.
Think!
hyylo 1 year ago
@hyylo Thank you for your arrogance.
First of all:
Steve Jobs is not Apple. 40,000+ people work for Apple. Thousands of employees are designers, developers, etc.
You couldn't know that, but I've studied Economics for 4 years.
The paper money is really nothing. 95% of money is virtual: bank transfers, credit cards.
Nobody makes paper money. In most cases it's a government-independent organization, for example "European Central Bank" or "Banque nationale suisse"
Govs even taxes unemployed people
mathieuemi666 1 year ago
@mathieuemi666
Do you understand economics?
Paper money has no real value that is why we have inflation.
Inflation is the fall in the value of paper money which is why living costs increase each year.
Why is Gold and Silver increasing in price each year? Gold and Silver cannot be printed and they are rare.
Search youtube for: Money Banking and the Federal Reserve
It will explain real economics to you!
hyylo 1 year ago
@hyylo Earlier I said
Steve Jobs is not Apple.
As a matter of fact:
Obama is not US, even with big influence.
I don't understand your point of view.

Oh wow! It looks like the Presidium of the Communist Party of Cupertino, CAL..
Even the seats resemble those in the Kremlin.

If the City Councils are anything like they are in Britain, he should have kicked the buggers up the arse.

Steve Jobs is loaded with money so why does he only have one shirt?
Thrillcekr 4 years ago 9
Maybe it's like in that Simpsons episode, where you see Homer's wardrobe, and it's full of white shirts, blue trousers.
In Jobsie's case, black shirt tucked into jeans! =]

Because its his Carisma, he has his own culture, he always had those clothes (The style) I think he started to wear that style since 1975.

because i think its for promo purposes, like everyone expects him to wear that as everyone expects him to say at his keynotes, "there is one more thing," he did wear something different for like the harvard speech(only instance i know of

He probably has like 50 of the same one.
I wear jeans everyday and have like 7 pairs. Everyday I wear one.

It's obvious Steve likes Apple's home and wants to keep it there.
I've heard from reliable sources that he has NEVER visited Elk Grove, or Austin!
I wonder if he had ever visited the East Bay...

pretty hilarious like an snl skit. it takes jobs 10 minutes to tell a two minute story! ha! and the city council just goes on and on with the ass kissing! ha
well, guess it was just a slow night down in ol' cupertino!

You know, that's why he is Steve Jobs and you are nobody. He knows how to do his job without your advice...

Exactly, The "three minute limit" does not apply to his majesty.
Just wait until I invent sub-title spectacles. Then I'll be "somebody" and Jobs will be "nobody"!!! HWAHWAHWA!!!
