Kitchener was like De Flipside of Iwer George. But like in a older version. Kitchener was the man. Who open the doors for older and younger calypsonians like Ajala, All Rounder, Arrow, Bally, Baron, Black Stalin, Blue Boy (Now Known As Super Blue), Crazy, Cro Cro, DeFosto, Designer, Iwer George, Gypsy, Elsworth James, Merchant, Organiser, Poser, Preacher, Ronnie McIntosh, Rootsman, David Rudder, Shadow, Sparrow, Swallow, Tambu, and Winston Soso.
This performance is on the VHS tape "One Hand Don't Clap," along with him performing "Sugar Bum Bum." It is a documentary on the history of calypso and soca featuring Kitch and Calypso Rose. I have it and it is just wonderful.
I don't know you, but the videos you have posted are a service to Trinidad. You are showing the culture, and showing the real thing... I don't know how more I can thank you for these postings... you are doing a great service!
