animals eating other animals is a normal nature, i kind of think this vid was sad, at the same time adorable how a meat eating animal wants to take care of a newborn because of uh.. orphan ish?
wow- she didnt even eat the big one- she just saw that baby and motherly instincts took over...? i know the thing probably starved to death in a few days, but still- very awesome.
this is in responce to"ARSHABBIR100" comment. You are way out of context with god in this situation, God does not live in the wild keep your religous bullshit outside the wildlife.
There is a very good lesson in this video. This says...if God has given you pain today(by taking something from you), tomorrow He will give you a cure to that pain in such way that no other thing can ever cause you any pain for entire life. Truely...He is THE JUST.
@ARSHABBIR100 err, so you think a day old baby baboon was then raised by a leopard? the baboon died soon after this obviously. he needed his mother's milk. also, how do you explain this just god to people who have to suffer all their lifes? how do you explain it to the millions of africans born with aids? how do you explain it to the thousands of children sold into sex slavery for their entire lifes? how do you explain it to people with locked in syndrome? God does not exist.
i think leopard tried kill a baboon while there hold long hide behind of baby baboon then leopard heard yell from baby baboon after leopard realize this baboon's baby and mistake kill baboon then he/her decide keep feed baboon's baby from care for it. i not sure about this but akward dont fingure out what leopard have some reason.
@Serai3 I don't know where it came from, but you can find several youtube videos with bits of this documentary. I've been trying to watch them to see if I could get the whole story. The one titled "Leopard female takes care of a baboon baby" continued a bit further to explain that the baby died. (However, it leaves out the beginning, about how the leopard killed the mama baboon to begin with). It's kind of odd how people leave out parts of the story to make it less harsh.
@Serai3 Yes it is odd. I too, needed to find out more. I googled it too. Unfortunately I don't have the link, but it seems that the baby died from a mixture of temperature and lack of proper nourishment, I assumed that meant lack of mother's milk. Then in another google link, another lady said that these things do no always end well; and that these predators sometimes then eat the corralled animal. But, I dunno. I know that animals (mother and children) also have the capacity for imprinting.
what happens?? i wanna see the rest of the story :(

If you watch the rest of the documentary, the baby baboon died that same night from cold/starvation.

This is how it really went:
Leopard finds baby
Leopard decides to play with it for a while
Leopard bites its head
Baby trys to crawl away
Leopard attacks it amd botes it some more
Leopard kicks it im the head
Baby dies(for real)
