  • punch is a gift..you can't make it stronger. you either have it or dont have it.

  • @MessageInBlood1 Yall Don't belive this kid. I am a Muay Thai fighter and every day i pratice I become a little faster and a little stronger. Just stick with the training and you will get better.

  • @ThorinDyer even cus d'mato, the legendary boxing trainer who trained mike tyson said the same thing. he said fighters are born with punches.

  • @MessageInBlood1 He's just selling the Tyson hype. When I started training a year ago and I couldn't even move the bag. Now I'm a undefeated MMA fighter 3-0 with a KO right cross. Even Mike Tyson was severly pick on as a little kid and teen. So he had to learn how to fight.

  • @ThorinDyer it's not a hype. It's a fact. Tyson did learn how to box but he didn't really learn how to punch. He had amazing punching power since he was a child. He knocked out the school principle, who was also a fomer boxer. And tyson was only 12 years old at this time! After this, the principle introduce tyson to Cus d'mato. From there, the trainer discovered tyson's talent and unleashed the lion within.

  • @MessageInBlood1 You have some very good points, and if I we were to base this argument only on Tyson I would agree. But.... I also based it on my Personal experince at age 12 I was was 3'11 and starving I couldn't even bench 30 lb. Now I am on my way up the ranks of the FCFF "A sub of the UFC" My stand up bread and butter is my right cross and my switch kicks. Now thats all I have to say on that matter. If you wanna respond I will read it but I will not reply. Have a good one.

  • @ThorinDyer lolz

  • dam this fuu looks like mr fantastic his arm just stretches . lol

  • very true

  • This sounds like a lot of hype. In a whip, the entire thing moves, how does a boxer's lower body move and accumulate that "energy". How did Bruce Lee do the one inch punch then?

  • @warrkrymez The power of the whip comes from how hard it is used. The handle of the whip represent the feet and the rest is the body of course. Also the way a boxer takes his stance is how they accumulate that energy.

Bruce Lee was just a G mangggg

  • @90lrocem, i understand were you coming from but i said harder punches not winnig fights.

  • if there is one thing i've learned from fighting, is that niggers always win, unless ur an asian. Watch Ip man, that guy fucked up some japanese mother fuckers old school

  • @popinpenus dude really? do u have to be racist ok a black person knocked you the fuck out no need to be racist take your ass whooping like a man

  • @popinpenus haha ip man trained bruce lee

  • @ninjamonkeysmells Ip Man was awesome.

  • @popinpenus <ROFL@ur name but Most black people feel tough in groups,,,but when they're alone they wont say anythinq,,,

  • @SuperModernidiot Not true . The same could be said for racist white KKK rednecks with beer bellies

  • @jtgtjtgt ur not right with that at all, everysingle guy i kno whos a redneck will stand up to u by himself.. hell some redneck girls ive seen do too and a country girl could prolly whoop a city boy too js, im a city boy and i dnt fuck with my friends who r girls cuz they hit fuckn hard as hell and i cant hit them back cuz id never lay my hands on a girl so yea lol still fun to piss em off tho then hold them down and watch them struggle XD

  • @kylerss4 Not true at all . They're all cowards . Look this up on youtube . A bunch of racist weak redneck cowards all jump a black guy and he beats their asses . It was 3 on 1. It happened in Canada and was on the news .

  • @jtgtjtgt hey dumbass no they aint, i live in kentucky and i kno they aint cowards, they love fighting

  • @kylerss4 Can't admit the truth , so sad . Mad because you know Rednecks and KKK are cowards and tough only in groups . Was pretty funny watching ONE black guy beat 3 of them up . And you live in Kentucky go to the hood and see how ''cowardly'' black people are . Same goes for hispanics they are tough shit . If you even know shit you'd know gangs like the crips are what has made the KKK dwindle to such small numbers.

  • @kylerss4 It's pretty funny . These days you call a black nigger in a large group and the WHITE PEOPLE will get mad at you lol . Iv'e seen it happen .

  • @kylerss4 the last sentence sounded like rape. im sure theyd rather have u hit them

  • @Jayjee123 and ur a dumbass if u realized i was talkn bout holding them down so i dnt get hit by them and idc if theyd rather have me hit them, ill never hit a girl

  • @kylerss4 ur the dumbass cuz u were too stupid to realize it was a joke

  • @kylerss4 and u didnt even GET the joke on top of that. it completely flew over your head

  • Why are people arguing on youtube lmaoo

  • @5walkerboi.not to say anything negative, what the guy is trying to say is if you get two guys and put them together, one big the other small and they use the same technique the bigger guy is more than likely be the harder puncher. Bruce is a rare exception, cause of course there exceptions to every rule.

  • @greencasey8 Yes, I think it was taken out of context. Bruce was not an exception though. What the guy said was true! Granted Bruce was a badass but there's more to it than being the harder puncher! In fighting because your a heavy hitter does not mean your gonna win every fight! Speed, technique, skill, conditioning, etc... play a major role in fighting.

  • This was an awesome post thank you I will look for the doc. I have an idea for training called rythmatic punching. Using the balance of more speed and accuracy and less strength, but it works,I've been doing it for a while now I'mma keep going. Thanks

  • actaully size doesn't matter ....just because somebody is big doesn't mean that they have a lot of strength

  • @5walkerboi Didn't your mother teach you not to blurt out nonsense? It matters a lot. The physical strength is only part of it. Mass is very important. It's simple physics really...

  • @Greeneyez2475 dumb ass little girl I learned from experience just because somebody is big doesn't mean they have the strength just look at bruce lee

  • @5walkerboi I'm only going to respond to you this once. Bruce Lee hit hard for his size yes. He had great technique. Also, there are exceptions to every rule but if you think that Bruce Lee could hit as hard as a world class HW boxer you're wrong. Very wrong.

  • @Greeneyez2475 I have knocked guys 3 times bigger then me on there butt and im only 5"91/2 150 pounds so you can't sit there on your computer and tell me that size matters because it was proven wrong by me and a lot of more people and yes bruce lee did hit as hard as heavyweight boxers, just go look at bruce lee's one inch punch

  • @5walkerboi OOkkkay. Now I see. You're a small guy. I was wondering where all that came from.

  • @Greeneyez2475 and you must be a fat ass

  • @5walkerboi go do your research mass doesn't always equal strength

  • body power is a myth, power comes from the proper use of the 2 lever system any golfer knows this

  • Size doesnt matter look at manny pacquiao he has one of the hardest punchs of all time

  • @dragster117 Joe Louis, Mike Tyson, George Foreman, Tommy Hearns... THEY have some of the hardest punches of all time, not Manny. He's one of the best pound-for-pound fighters, that's something completely different. Force = [mass x acceleration], so yeah, size definitely matters.

  • @ChuckmasterFlex depending on how you punch

  • @ChuckmasterFlex Ratio wise manny would hit harder then all of them besides tyson. if manny was able to be a heavyweight he would ko people like mike tyson did

  • @ChuckmasterFlex Don't forget Rocky Marciano. He's definitely one of the hardest hitters of all time.

  • @dragster117 no he doesnt numbskull he is just strongest pound for pound...

  • haha, size matters

  • omg lol wats with all these negative comments like all of u stfu...only pussies respond 2 pussies ahhaahaha

  • holy shit i swear i just did this and my shoulder almost fkin snapped shitttt.

  • ima remem this just in case

  • Force = Mass x Acceleration. A larger man can punch harder than a smaller man, but only if he can punch as fast as the smaller man.

  • size matter but at the same time it does not a 6.3 130 pound man cannot punch harder than a 5.11ft man that weights 180 just a fact

its a balance between mass and height

  • eh, force = mass x acceleration. so yes size being mass matters when used to determined force, but acceleration is also part of the equation. someone weighting 300lbs moving at 2ft/sec wouldnt generate as much force as someone weighting 200lbs moving at 5ft/sec

  • in some cases size does matter..i mean im not gonna beat up a 17 yr and im 15..and if i do beat the 17yr old up he obviously is either mentally disable or just salty.

  • SIZE DOES AND DOES NOT MATTER,,, but actually what REALLY matters is the WEIGHT! the heavier u r the stronger u r against ur oponent IF he may be lighter... this may be in a ny ocasion but i learned this in boxing

  • One more step to learning secrets of chuck norris

  • Comment removed

  • it doesnt show how you have to move your sholders to punch harder

  • Hmm i say size only matters sometimes it really depends on how much knowledge and skill both fighters have. If size was really important than the best fighters would be the biggest.

  • @TheSonnycofax Head to head with equal skill, the bigger guys wins everytime !

  • poor demonstration, the dude turns is hand over waaayyyyyyy too early, you will lose your power. not too mention the upper body leaning over and away from the midline after the punch? good way to lose your balance or get countered if u don't connect, who let this shit air?

  • always turn ur hips... ur feet and always turn those punches for most effectiveness...

  • In fighting size doesn't really matter because if your faster than them and you have better endurance than the bigger person than you will have a better chance of winning if you don't get hit a lot

  • @Dblock7296 It does in terms of power, speed and endurance are a whole other subject.

  • @Dblock7296 Hmm maybe you also need to add the person to the equation. Lets say Mike Tyson vs Maywether jr. Maywether might have the speed and agility, but soon as mike lands a blow, and he will. Floyd will be on the ground twitching. So yes Size does matter pending on the person.

lets just end it with. You'll never know how a fight will end, if you don't watch it till the end.

  • Having a strong bone structure is what gives you power. I have to friends I wrestling with. The one thats 5'11 and built like a tank is not a strong as I thought he be. My other friend whos 6'1 but skinny is sooo strong. Hes able to toss me around like a rag doll. And when he hits the heavy bag its scary. At the gym we all joke around we dont know were his power comes from. Its from his bone structure. Even when I pick his skinny ass up hes feels heavy.

  • ever wonder why they have weight classes in any fighting sports? because size DOES matter. stop watching bruce lee movies.

  • @secutorclaudius But... that ACTOR obviously proved in those FICTIONAL movies that a 125 pound man can whip anyone's ass! Sarcasm.

  • @secutorclaudius skill is more important than size though, Bruce Lee was a monster, best Martial Artist of all time and he was small at 5'7 so dont use his name and his movies as an example

  • @RMphilmacrac i luv bruce lee, but he was a monster compared to ppl of similar size. u put a 160 lb guy w a 250 lb guy, both of EQUAL SKILL, who do u think is gonna hit harder?

  • @secutorclaudius Bruce Lee without a doubt. but if it was two random people then probably the 250lb guy, then again the 160lb could punch faster which could also mean that his punch might be harder

  • @RMphilmacrac ok, but i think u r confusing the speed of one single punch with the ability to throw more punches per minute. a smaller guy will move faster, but a big and again, skilled fighter will throw one punch just as fast. look at lightweight boxing, how many kos do u see? not often, compared to heavy weights.

  • @secutorclaudius okay dude your talking about fast punches now instead of hard punches hahaha part of the power in a punch is speed and thats what i ment

  • @RMphilmacrac power is strength x speed. the smaller guy has the speed but not the strength or mass behind it. lemme see u take a punch from paquiao and one from tyson.watcha think?

  • @secutorclaudius i think Tyson would hit harder but hes also insanely fast for a heavyweight, "watcha think?"

  • @RMphilmacrac pacman may ko u for a few secs, but tyson will remove your head. and an ear, maybe.

  • @secutorclaudius hahah thats over exaggerating. but in my personal opinion id rather have fast hands and skill then weight and skill

  • @RMphilmacrac whatever floats your boat, bro. not everyone wants or needs to be a heavyweight. i used to fight (muay thai) at 170 lbs. since i quit i started lifting, now i'm 245.

  • People are right; punching power don't always need large mass. It's more important to have strong bones or muscles, not necessary large muscles though, for you won't break your hands when punching. Ever noticed how one can drop a brick on something, and then drop it on the same thing at a much greater height and it does more damage?

  • Punching Power doesnt rely TOTALY on mass, you are born with it. Look at Julian The Hawk Jackson, he had more power than a lot of heavy weights. Shit, look at Prince Nas.

  • @PDRO4LYFE Force=Mass x Acceleration

  • @ChronoTriggerMusic True but tell that too Prince Naz or The Hawk.

  • when he says size its mainly to do with weight, not height however in general heavier = taller

  • bernard hopkins defense wins the game...

  • 160 and 5'8 could be big in a way right...

  • Wrong. Punch power doesn't always rely on mass.

  • @dsnLV - I agree. It's all about leverage.

  • @dsnLV - I agree. It's more about leverage.

  • @dsnLV & @Solowizard leverage is part of skill. I repeat if skills are equal means both fighters know how to leverage optimally if the big guy and the small guy are using leverage optimally the big guy will win.

  • @VaporTrailMix Not if the little guy has defense.

  • whats the name of this episode

  • i mean acceleration, not velocity

  • force=mass x velocity.

if ur big, ur punch is heavier but u dont punch fast.

if ur light, u dont have much mass but u punch fast as hell.

they still dont balance out but having speed over power can really help. vice versa.

  • I'm 10 feet tall and 1200 lbs and stronger than anyone that has commented on this video. Also, I'm a pro boxer, and MMA fighter, and Kung Fu specialist.

  • No wonder simplified Bak Mei is taught as a form of boxing. Similar concept.

  • Thats good information in the Boxing world.

  • most bad ass skeleton in the beginning, i wanna see a full fight now with the head movement hahah

  • @theboxingfighter you sound like a lil bitch your 290 yea rite so your bigger then borok lesner haaaa yea da fuck rite you couldnt handle a beast lik that if you were that fuckin big why da fuck would you be scared to give someone your fb pussy man up bitch you aint who you say you are!

  • @1motherfukr shut the fuck up you weak pathetic cunt.. go watch your shitty fake wrestling cheese dick. brock lesnar is fckin garbage.. and dumb fckin americans (prob mostly rednecks) think that size is the only aspect someone should attain in order to be a great fighter.. you are fckin stupid kid.. Overeem is going to eat this wrestling hillbily alive on the 30th.. oh and all you little bitches that think like him; if you want to see a truly great figher.. do research on badr Hari

  • @1motherfukr stfu, u don't know who i am and have fun watching that fake ass wrestling shit fag. stupid redneck. you have no idea who i am and u can't just go around assuming shit all the time. because in the end, you look like the asshole. and reason i don't give my fb is so i don't have fags like u trying to hack it.

  • @1motherfukr and yes i am big. i was always in the 98th percentile in hight and weight. so you can F off.and your a pussy trying to be all tough behind your little cheap computer.

  • im gonna use wat i kno on my wife........jk

  • um i box right now i'm 13 and i beat the shit out of my teacher

  • @optifide You can punch the person who instructs you. Impressive.

  • @optifide @optifide wow your cool. I'm actually a real boxer. I'm now 17 and 6 foot 3.5 at 290 lbs. i knocked out a 28 yr old man when i was 15 and i was 6'2 240.my psi is 900. next time tells something better than saying you beat up your teacher thats probably a weak person. and honestly, i don't give a shit if you don't believe me. I've got a Facebook video to prove it, but I'm not gonna tell you my name cause you probably "kick the shit outta me" lol

  • @THEBOXINGFIGHTER 290 and 6'2 tells me you need to loose at least 40 pounds, if you ever consider fighting in MMA you should be at a max of 265

  • Comment removed

  • @THEBOXINGFIGHTER That being said, I'm curious about seeing your boxing video. Sounds very interesting indeed! :D

  • @killu19 im a racist? fuck you. how the hell did u come to that assumption???

  • @killu19 plus u know nothing about me or who i am. so F off. and stfu. and u don't win fights with words. because u lost this argument. i am going to block u because you are such a F*** head. have fun trying to boost ur self esteem by putting others down. loser.

  • @THEBOXINGFIGHTER Lol, really? If I didn't win the fight then why are you submitting and blocking me? Sounds like a victory to me...

  • @killu19 im blocking you because u are a ignorant jackass that loves to harass people. calling me cocky. again. u know nothing of me. I'm just sharing a fact about me. doesn't mean I'm cocky. so F*** off.

  • @THEBOXINGFIGHTER The way you portray yourself can be perceived as supercilious, and that was just reading between the lines. Don't fucking lie, I know the species.

  • @THEBOXINGFIGHTER Also, if I allegedly put people down to boost my own self esteem, at least I'm not a cocky headed fuck like some people we know.

  • @killu19 and do you think your cool by trying to insult me in front of the internet? well your not. you a pathetic human being talking shit behind a cheap little computer monitor. get a life.

  • @THEBOXINGFIGHTER You've lost bro, just accept defeat and block me.

  • @optifide um im not 13 and i dont give a fuck.

  • What program on NationalGeographic was this from?

  • @KHALDROGO123 fight science

  • It is saying that a guy with the same punching technique at a weight like 220 will hit much harder than someone at like 170. Yes, Bruce Lee could punch and kick harder than people way larger than him, but that is because of his technique. If a bigger guy could use Bruce's exact technique of course he would hit harder than Bruce. It explains this in the video people, some of you just are not listening well. Not about Bruce, but the concept. I only brought up Bruce because of the guy a few down.

  • *cough cough* also called MOMENTUM -.-

  • @4REALsss u do know what kinetic energy is right?

  • @tision one half mass times velocity squared

  • its not saying that a smaller guy cant knock someone out, just that with more mass behind the punch it would be more likely. Speed itself however can cause knockouts due to sudden trauma causing the body to shutdown on top of the whiplash power, its just heavier handed people have more of a blunt power over a wider area. Its like getting hit with a hammer versus getting hit with a sledge hammer.

  • NO,NO,NO SIZE DOES NOT MATTER,EVEN IF EQUAL IN SKILL SET.THERE ARE OTHER QUALITIES THAT A SMALLER FIGHTER HAS,THAT A LARGER DOES NOT AND VICE VERSA AS WELL.SO NO,IT DOES NOT ALWAYS MATTER.IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM W/ WHAT I'VE SAID,EXAMPLE-BRUCE LEE,146 POUNDS AND WAS BETWEEN 5'8 AND 5'7 HE WAS ONE OF THE HARDEST HITTING AND KICKING PEOPLE TO WALK THIS PLANET,JUST ASK KAREeM ABDUL-JABBAR,WHO WAS 7'2 AND WEIGHED ABOUT 225.

  • I am a kickboxer and I can tell you; bigger guys hit much harder than smaller guys with equal technique. I know 'cause I've been hit with some brain-numbing shots (by big guys) that People in my weight class can't deliver. I weigh 185. Start fighting people 220 and above and there's a marked increase in punching and kicking power. That's not to say a small guy can't knock the shit out of a big dude, I've seen it many times. Oh, and I wouldn't buy too much into chop-suey movies, either.

  • @desamator11 If there are other qualities that a certain smaller fighter would have over a certain larger fighter then things aren't equal. ALL things being equal: speed, technique, endurance, agility, the bigger guy will have the advantage.

  • @desamator11 He whooped Kareem Abdul in a movie, not in real life. Bruce Lee just have the the right skill set and techniques, in which anyone can learn really. IF a bigger guy would learn the correct techniques such as Bruce Lee, of course the impact would've been much much bigger.

  • The power converges on the penis at 0:14 .

  • They make "energy" up as some kind of glowing substance that is generated from the ground ROFL, why dont they just say momentum or something. You generate momentum and throw a hard fucking punch...not that stupid glowing shit rofl

  • But what if you're not fighting a guy with no skin?

  • SIZE DOESN'T MATTER YOU WANT EXAMPLE HERE LOOK AT MANNY PACQUIAO HE BE FIGHTING BIGGER GUYS AND MANNY STILL KNOCK ALL OF THEM OUT...

  • @MaRLoN28PiNoY youre taking it out of context. this isnt about winning a fight. just the science behind hurting someone.

  • @MaRLoN28PiNoY Manny Pacquaio is a great fight, but put manny pacquiao in the ring with someone like muhammed ali or mike tyson in their primes, they would've devastated him. Skill will beat size, but not when skill is even or matched

  • @MaRLoN28PiNoY Size matters when skills are equal.

  • @VaporTrailMix its never equal

  • @VaporTrailMix I've seen skilled guys overpowered by a big dude with low level skills, I would say if your oponent is 40 pounds or heavier he's got big advantage and the opposite way, people saying size does not matter is straight ignorant , there wouln't be weight classes on pro sports.

  • @VaporTrailMix - Actually, it has far more to do with leverage than size.

  • @MaRLoN28PiNoY i agree to an extint but say if the guy is 30 40 lbs heavier then yes size makes a difference

  • @MaRLoN28PiNoY bro, the only time size matters is if you have two equally skilled fighters. the larger one will hit harder because of weight. that's all. think of it as a 4 cylinder vs. an s.u.v.

  • @MaRLoN28PiNoY Lets see him fight Vitali.

  • @MaRLoN28PiNoY Thats because his skills are superior.

  • Size matters. But think about it, all you have to do is be able to generate enough power to knock someone out, or discourage them from fighting via force. You don't have to be a huge, 6'5" to generate that potential energy.

  • If size didn't matter, why is professional boxing and MMA broken up into weight divisions?

  • watever size matters...its how u use it......and im not talking dirty

  • Amateur narrator did good until the last 10 seconds.

  • Let's face reality....

    Size really "DOES" matter.

    But it's not everything.

If you also have speed, and you're agile (let's not forget about intelligence)

it's gonna be just fine :P

  • size dosent matter dum fuck

  • @flocka1234200 you fail

  • mass helps but most power lifters and gym rats punch like pussies cause they are stiff and slow. my brother has 40 lbs on me and my punch and kick power dwarfs his.

  • what show is this

  • @freakyfresh35, i believe its "Fight Science" but i am not positive

  • lol was it me or did the guys reach seem like it was way to long haha

  • Oh snap this will come in handy

  • if you are shorter you can throw stronger uppercut than the taller person

  • It's all physics, mass x velocity = force. Acceleration x time = velocity, speed being the measure of that velocity. As for McDonalds, well, the more mass, the harder it is to get that big ol' gut moving, so your acceleration goes out the window. I have taught for years (decades) that the power with your hands comes from your feet and the power with your feet comes from your hands. With respect.

  • @qama111 well said

  • OK so if the bigger the puncher the harder the punch gets? so that means I'm supposed to go to MCDonnald's now?

  • @MusicResurrector see: Pacquiao vs. Hatton

  • @MusicResurrector

technique, timing, placement, speed, power all plays a part in it.

id rather be a very accurate puncher than a brawler.

  • Wow, Sweet! I will try this on a bum tomorrow.

  • Just like every other martial art's punch.

  • @habojspade

only one boxing tho. you wont develop a seasoned boxer's skill (with his hands) if you train in other martial arts. (unless maybe muay thai)

but in pure hand to hand combat (in the ring, strictly boxing), boxer takes the cake. in MMA, thats not always the case just because of the takedowns.

  • Nice!!!!
