This is cool. However it sounds like it's just the master recording with layered drums on top of it more than a "remix". Adding a bassline over it would make it a 'sample' situation only the whole song as the sample.
Getting ahold of the actual studio multi track files where you can isolate vocals and accompaniment pieces would be a better way to go.
But this is good enough to submit for demo purposes to obtain those rights.
