I paid $450 3 years ago for my 84fs here in Texas. You must have bought this at a gun shop. If you go to the gun shows there's a lot more competition so pricing is more competitive.
The Beretta is a very well made gun. I always regretted getting rid of my 92 15 yrs ago.The only Beretta I won't recommend is the 21A .22 auto.I kept it in my pocket for years during summer months but realized how picky it was with ammo.I always used Federal HP with no problem but anything else would misfire like crazy.The bigger problem is no extractor to clear the round. You have to pop up the barrel and either pull the round out with your finger nails or poke it out from the muzzle.Nice 84.

I decided to go with the Taurus PT-58 HC Plus because it was a a lot less ($450.00), and almost twice the mag capacity (19+1). It's actually a replica of 84, and was built on old Beretta machinery as al PT Taurus' are.
Nice pistols man, I like all three! One should always "stick to their guns" when it comes to which ones they prefer, doesn't matter what the crowd likes, right? Keep up the great work bro.
What do you think of the Beretta Model 70, I have read that they were used by Isreali covert agents to take out terrorist ? I live in NJ also,how long do you think it w take to get a firearms ID card and pistol permit? I am turning in the last bit of paperwork in the morning,my fingerprints are done also.

I love berettas myself. I have owned more than 10 and enjoyed them all. I always wanted a nickle 84 with rose grips. Maybe one day.
