  • Another of my favourite ladies.Close to the top.Varadero1839,I admire your taste.

  • SImply Wonderful !!! :)

  • Before I posted, I read some of the comments and your responses. I thought of the beautiful Rita Hayworth, as soon as I saw this clip, and you mention her in a response. They were both so beautiful! Thank you for bringing us all such lovely memories.

  • @memercie2 I'm so grateful for your comment! I love Rita also, and thought she was an incredibly convincing actress and dancer! It's fascinating to me that these 2 beauties should have worked together; both youngsters at the time! Hollywood had an unusual way of showing rivals! I speak of "Sangre y Arena!"

  • My friend, please accept my condolences on the loss of your wife. I didn't know. Though viewing this may have saddened you, I'm hoping that it also helped you to begin to heal the heart-break of the never-ending love for your wife! A very learned person once told me, after the loss of my loved-one, "things don't necessarily get better, they just get different." It's been many years since my loss, but my friend was right! Write to me any time you want!

  • Thank you for your replies it is so nice of you. Yes I do feel sad when I go back so far as now I have lost my wife and we shared many of those memories together, Once again thank you.

  • Is it not sad the such Beauty cannot live for ever! If it is of any Use to know that during the war I met many American airman that carried her Photo in their B29s

  • @TheRAFfc I agree with you about beauty leaving us so suddenly; Linda Darnell left us way too early! Also, I'm honored, but not surprised that many airmen carried her photo! She could hold her beauty beside Betty Grable and wonderful Rita Hayworth any day! As always, a pleasure to hear from you!

  • What a lovely and moving tribute to this most beautiful lady!!!.....the photos are outstanding, your choice of music....PERFECT......how sad her life ended at such an early age......Thanks for sharing this with all of us.....well done, my friend......

  • @anderson7293 Hi M! Great to hear from you! I'm honored by your assessment of this little show! Her having died at 42 seems like a nightmare. I remember reading that during the filming of "Forever Amber," she was terrified during the fire scene. What a tragic end indeed to one of Hollywood's most beautiful and fine actresses. She'll really never be forgotten!

  • She was beautiful. Pity she had such an untimely demise. ;\

  • @ShawDAMAN I agree with both of your statements. Her beauty was like "the sun and the moon," and her death was a nightmare. Not to dabble too much in the metaphysical, but I often wonder if those who've left us ever revel in the "talk" they've created by their previous presence. If it's any indication of her affect on people, then Linda Darnell must be delighted. Thanks so much again for your comment!

  • Wonderful selection of pictures, nice music! *****

  • @marcoscassiotis I'm so glad to hear from you! Lately I've received several comments and, again, I'm honored. I'm glad you liked this, and wanting to hear more of your life these days! Please keep in touch.
