this archival collage is so convincing that I believed it to be a genuine period piece. right on! 1980 science and magic for the suburban idiot in the form of film collage. if people saw this on tv in 1980, they'd be like, cool. the secret world of visual aesthetics and airbrushing out radicals. now you can have motion sensor make 3d graphic person instead.
Wow.. I'm surprised I didn't notice the size of him. I suppose that in relation to the size of their computers he's fairly average size. But put him next to a Mac Air and you have a freakshow attraction..
Well they "ripped" it in the sense that they took it verbatim. That being said, ColdPlay are huge kraftwerk fans, their fans are however mostly clueless.

From 1:00 to 1:31, it sounds like a part from a Coldplay song, I can't remember what the song is called, but it goes something like:
'You can take a picture, and that's what you see', and it sounds very alike. Is this true??

Great 70's footage at the start but the bio stuff in the 2nd half to "Home Computer" doesn't make much sense. Overall nice job however.

Haha, it seems Coldplay ripped that riff they used in their single "Talk" directly off this track by Kraftwerk!
mrdaven 4 years ago
Well.. not exactly "ripped" .. they did get permission AND pay royalties... so all's fair I think ;o)
