I so hate ebay. I use to love it back in 2002 when I started, and now I hate it because they had suspended me for life. I hate ebay because they never reinstate you.. bewarned too if sellers give you item strikes. I had way to many when I canceled a lot of ebay items last year in 2007. F**K ebay for suspension me. Scientology is using the Vero program to stop the sale of Used official "E-Meters," basically official Scientology lie-detectors. I went to the ebay forums on Feb 3 and expressed my opinions on the feedback - early that evening, I received a horrible, threatening message - 3 messages in 5 days - his neighbor ordered $1.49 item and left me a negative (new user) - the whole thing came around full-circle when the original person that I suspected all along barrotji sent me a nasty "good riddance" message - I was kicked off within 4 days of my comments.

What does it mean? Manipulation of listings to make the site look more successful than it is is illegal. I go to the discussion boards and click on poster's listings - most have nothing listed. Ebay is in a world of hurt and if they are padding listings (and I feel they are) then they are in big trouble financially! In addition-118-FAKE Ebay stores ran 413(24hr)auctions with that same title! When ended,they were relisted! THOUSANDS more fakes under "Ebay Test Item, Test Listing...etc!!

I am finding that the sellers that have feedack are getting recent feedback from recent items which show as invalid. Now how could those items even have been purchased? Of course I have not checked them all, but some of the feedback comes from users whom have not been active for years. Suddenly they are buying items that could not be bid on or BIN'd, and able to leave feedback on invalid items?

This really needs to be looked into further. Considering ebay LIED about everything so far...

Someone on Ebay's Stores Board found some of these fake(?) listings turning up in the search engines as well as on Ebay. Spamming search engines now, Ebay? What next? The words irresponsible, disgusting, and CROOKED come to mind.

Buyers and sellers: There IS life after Ebay. Boycott Ebay permanently. They are NOT the only game in town, although possibly the most dishonest.

Ebay has turned into a joke. When you start biting the hand that feeds you eventually you starve to death.

I think the boycott needs to last longer. Say an entire month. If every seller stopped listing Ebay would crash.

Hello cappnonymous, I think you're doing a great job with these videos, and putting a ton of effort. I would just like to know out of curiousity, why do you think eBay might want to pad these listings? and if the user doens't actually exist, do the items exist? or is it just to make it look like eBay has more items than it actually does? What happens if you bid on the item? what if you buy the item? does it link to another user who is selling something similar? or do you not receive anything?

Is there anyway you can make a youtube boycott/protest video featuring the Public Enemy/Anthrax song, Bring The Noise? I would do it myself but am not familiar with how to post a video. Word got out really FAST about this one in eBay world today. And WOW - you were in the right place at the right time!

Just as you saw the entire thread disappear before your eyes, we watched as the number of listings under this User ID went from well over 40,000 to 30,000, 20,000, 7,000 and the {{poof}} they were gone. But many of us were able to screen capture, copy into front page, print out, etc., so we have the proof. Something very strange going on over there.
