I play some old dx7 games(duesX,halflife1,NFS games..i just wanted all them old games to play cranked with great graphics so iam using the GF 2Ultra for 2d but when i play quake2 the geforce Kicks ass.I played quake 3 on that card for ever..

ive been searching up halo combat evolved trailers and they are all WEIRD its like the marines are not even serious..... Compare these trailers with halo reach.... well, the geforce 2 gts came in april 2000 and the geforce 3 came in february 2001. not to mention the geforce 2 ultra which came in august 2000 and if we count in the competition (ati, the now defunct 3dfx), it was indeed a very short lived card. on the other hand, you could play games perfectly fine with that card all up to 2003 and even later.

Also, it's funny how once this actually got ported to PC, the framerate was pretty bad in a lot of areas, even on modern day computers it has these really weird issues.

I suppose I could have specified a bit better, I know that some models of graphics cards have issues with the Decals in the game, explosion effects left on the ground, bullet holes, blood, my computer gets goes to about half speed if there are large amounts of blood and explosions on the ground. I actually played through all of Halo (on PC) without any blood because of it lol.

It says it just requires a 32 MB card with T&L, so I suppose any modern card should be able to handle it, what do you have? I have a 9400M G laptop card.

@Usul573 i think it's just that some of them have issues with Halo, I use a Nvidia 8600GTS (PCI-e) it just has a horrible issue with the decals, you can use launch tweaks to change the DirectX settings, but I haven't really messed with them, most of them reduce graphical quality, or remove entire functions altogether.
