  • what kind of cart tipper is that

  • what kind of cart tipper is that

  • Great vid, do u know how big those cans are? Is it like 40 gl or something?

  • jus wondering if the can colors mean anything? great job!!!

  • The colors dont mean anything, we have an assortment of different styles and colors that have been aquired over the years from mergers with other companies.

  • oh cool thanks!

  • where in the world is that video taken and what a weird shaped rad can!!!

  • Ah some pretty simple stuff eh. You are STRONG like bear.

  • Hey Eric, How did you get the camera attached to the truck? I saw Walmart has one of those wierd gorilla grabber things or whatever. I was hoping to find a magnetic tripod but nobody has one.

  • This camera is a small little helmet cam that came with some clips and stuff, I just attatched it to one of the tailgate cylinder hoses. I dont use this cam anymore because the quality is bad, especially the sound. Its a little trickier with the panasonic mini dv cam I use with all my other vids. For the hopper shots I have a small tripod which I can wedge into some metal lines that run along the top of the hopper, pure luck there.

  • Wow this one's old.. I don't think I've ever seen this video, wonder how I missed it. I thought your new tipping and flipping one was the first of this view lol.. you sure have come a long long ways since then! Must have had an older camera back then too.

  • Yeah this camera is a small helmet cam, not very good video and absolutely horrible sound!

  • First off those are crazy ass carts. Second, you're the only other driver to put a lid on properly and I respect that(customers dig clean working garbage men) even though at Waste where I work I don't have to pick up any cans over 32 gallons. Third, is that a company mounted camera or your own?

  • I do like to be nice and neat, putting lids back on,picking up spillage, etc.People like that and it gets noticed by those who pay attention. Its a good way to set yourself apart from the competition. The camera is mine,I clipped it to a tailgate cylinder hose.

    Who do you work for?

  • I've worked for Waste Management for 6 years.

That's a cool idea. I might bring my camera to work just because there is no other video of how we work up here. Not so many manual sideloaders. More are auotmated front loaders and manual style front loaders. Props to you dude. You do a good job.

  • Thanks man,I appreciate that coming from a fellow hauler. You should get some vid of how you all do things,me and the rest of the guys here on YT would love to see it.I am particularly interested in the automated FL trucks,I wish I had one of those here, because you can still jump out and throw trash in if need be,plus you can take furniture and stuff like that pretty easily.I like the truck I drive but its not really made to handle the crazy amounts and types of stuff I put in it.

  • Yeah dude. I saw you put the water heater in. Screw that! A grabber would have dumped it in NO time! I don't have a camera right now but I promise when I do I'll get some footage of how I do it up in Washington. Keep up the good work brother!

  • AWESOME POST!!! Interesting carts, too! Stumpy! LOL! Very fast ops as well!

  • Your a smooth operator...every move timed, effecient! Good job! I worked on a McSquuzeus! Those things packed forever! I think it was a 36 or 37 cubic yard tandem axle! Crushed everything. I once put over 16 tons on it! Frickin heavy man!

  • Thanks! My old truck was a mcneilus 36 yard side loader, and like you said, that beast would pack forever! On one rainy day I put 16.75 tons on that bad boy. That truck was 12 years old though and broke down alot, this new one is a 31 yard and packs about 10-12 tons, but is much more reliable.Worthy trade, imo.

  • Hey, Thanks fo rthe reply! i LOVE SIDE PACKERS...go at your own pace, piss when ever you want and just enjoy the day! Oh and stop the truck where you want also! I hate rear load drivers that stop so close and you end up smashing your elbow or your fuckin wrist!

  • That is a real smooth running tote dumper. That guy that makes them for you guys does some quality craftmanship. Thanks for sharing again

  • love this trucks can you get more of this truck ?

  • AWESOME VIDEO!

I would also like to see more of your truck. These are rare and those carts are pretty interesting as well. Would love to see the packer in action...

  • I have some other videos of the packer crunching stuff, but im trying to find a way to mount the camera inside the hopper so you can see it as im dumping trash into it.

  • I have a whole bunch of mounts I have made for this kind of stuff. What kind of camera are you useing? If it is not too heavy you can use a magnet mount...I'll send you one for cheap if you want or I could email you plans of how to make one...

  • Would love to see those videos...we'll keep checking back!

  • Thats awesome!

  • those carts look funny!!! they look like shopping carts with lids !!!LOL!!

  • Yeah, ive noticed that pretty much everywhere ive been outside of kansas, they do not have these type of carts. We dont actually buy those anymore,we get the tall plastic ones, but we still have a bunch of these carts to use up,most of them are from smaller trash companies that were bought out.

  • WOW!!!! THIS IS AWESOME!! I you are a great driver, and this is the coolest video! I would REALLY appreciate it if you could get some quick shots from the front and side of your truck (doesn't have to be in action, just so we can see what it looks like!)

Mcneilus MSLs are pretty rare, and you're lucky to be able to drive one! Also, never seen these types of bins before, what city is it in??

  • Thanks for the compliment! Im going to get a shot of the whole truck up here when I can so you can see the whole thing,I think its a good lookin truck. This is in wichita,ks,I work for Waste Connections.

  • Ok, great...Thanks!

  • Hey Trashman. The company that picks up our garbage here uses McNeilus MSLs. I like labries better but I like the Mcneilus's just as much. Too hard for me to get video
