@JaMajchol wrong he used to live in bergen in a countryhouse then he moved to live by himself in lillhammer and then he met euronymous who was opening a stor called helvete and that store had the studio and they lived there in the studio so basicly its and homemade production

@MrLuciferion I don't think it's a case of privacy but rather it was a money issue. Black metal being sort of a new genre, not many people bought into it, and thus profits were slim. Plus, how can you become famous if you never play live?

Scandinavia's population pales in comparison to places like America and Europe where the metal scene was vastly popular. Of course the internet not being what it is today, how could anyone have found out about these black metal bands back then?
