Punk wasn't dead them and it still isn't. It's in the inner cities kept alive by young musicians who respect old school punk. It's nothing like Sum 41, Blink 182, or anything as shitty as those mainstream pop posers.
Take it from a 42-year old who grew up on bands like Dead Kennedys. I still live in the city and fill in for a lot of drummers who can't make gigs. Those bands are fucking fierce!
