  • Wow, this is so amazing to see. Mudiaga and Nathan - way to go, guys! Nathan, it's so great to hear you're doing an acting degree! :) Can't believe Joanna still couldn't get the help she needed, though.

  • @HumanDichotomy To be fair, i still haven't gotten the help i need (Joanne speaking). Although the stammer slowly went away by itself and i can now speak relatively fluently. Even though i still stammer, its not as bad as it is here. All i hope is that Nathans and Mudiaga's got better too :-)

  • plz answer

  • hi nathan i wanna be your friend, ur really nice guy and sexy wats ur email?

  • @astagirl2 Thanks, I like being called sexy. Tell you what, for now why don't you send me a private message one here if you feel you would like to talk to me.

  • plz answer

  • hi nathan i wanna be your friend, ur really nice guy and sexy wats ur email?

  • Nathan got punched out? How come his eye is bruised? :S

  • @ajaaniajaa Stage makeup. Part of his character I suspect.

  • @ajaaniajaa Na, it's just make up I had to wear for the performance. Pretty realistic then?

  • If you are able to tap into the same part of your brain that you use while singing, you can act without stuttering. Just ask Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, and the dude who does the voice of Darth Vader!

  • @TR3Y4LI4E u fucking horrible cunt how would u feel if you struggled to talk u should be ashamed of yourself

  • @TR3Y4LI4E hopefully ur future kid would stammer worse den anyone else. :)

  • @TR3Y4LI4E wow.... your life sucks that bad?

    I'm sorry. :)

  • @TR3Y4LI4E just because a person stutters dont mean they wouldnt put a gun in YOUR mouth!! i stutter, not as bad as these ones, b ut everyone now and then, and i PROMISE you i would slaughter yo ass! idc if your trollin or not. i wish you would talk shit or jump me for somethin small like that! cuz we could make it a big situation if you wanna, i would burn yo ass. if shoot yo intestines out and you gotta shit thru a bag, you would be a freak bitch too

  • @TR3Y4LI4E do u think if he could create himself he would make himself stutter? don't call him an idiot because he speaks differently from you. you're an ignorant piece of shit. get a life bitch. tell that to your hommies too mofo.

  • @TR3Y4LI4E wow you are such a fucking cunt. how would you feel if you couldn't even talk to your homies because you couldn't get words out? It's assholes like you who deserve to stutter/stammer. too bad someone doesn't beat the shit out of you and your homies

  • @TR3Y4LI4E FUCK YOU. udont know how it is to stutter ? that ''idiot'' must be really bad. i wish i could heb ik U FKKN FREAK

  • @TR3Y4LI4E stupid piece of shit stfu. People who stutter are normal people and they suffer because of some "people" like you.

  • @TR3Y4LI4E man i hope i never meet you, you absoloute dick head. They can't help it!!! Your an idiot and i'm sure anyone who reads what you've said will hate you

  • @TR3Y4LI4E here´s a tip try think before you write something

  • fabulous folks.

  • from 8.15 onwards, he had no problem in talking, because he feels so condfident after that interview, its confidence guys, when i have confidence and feel good inside my stammer reduces so much

  • 4:21 I was actually smiling along with Nathan, that was a great moment.

  • Although I don't technically stutter, I have a tourettic tic where I repeat the same thing over and over (palalilia), and I have resorted to writing things if I can't finish the word because the tic doesn't stop.

It's terrible, seeing people who have to deal with that constantly. Hope they're doing well wherever they are.

  • i luv this documentary..even though i have recovered alot but whenever i see stammerers i feel like they belong in my world.

gud job Nathan, i luvd ur performence.it was fantastic...

  • i feel happy because i used 2 think that i was the only person that stutterd

  • We need more speech therapists! I hope to be one. Stuttering is a very interesting disorder. Nathan was absolutely awesome in the play. I don't even stammer, and I couldn't do as well as Nathan did. Mudiaga is doing great. I love it! This was a great film.

  • I was selectively mute as a child and I never really learnt to talk, so when I did, I used to stammer. After years of speech therapy, I did a little better. I'm now 15 and my speech has improved but I'm still on a waiting list, like Joanne.

  • I used singing as a method to completely cure my stuttering; I was born with it. Once I managed to sing songs without stuttering, I slowly tranferred that ralaxed mind set when talking.

From age 11 it took me 13 yrs to build a 'Mind to Vocal' connection. Ironically I'm more articulate than the average person now. Many people stutter much less when they're singing; it lowers anxiety & muscle tension I guess.

Please pass this message to others that stutter. It takes patience to cure.

    Good luck

  • I think Nathan passed the point of worrying. I used 2 stutter terribly as a kid but its calmed down alot as i got older and gained various techniques of making myself stay fluent. I still stutter occasionally but wen i have to do big speeches that r important it all just drops away and i reach a point of almost past-embarresment and i just talk normally. Its an amazing feeling and im glad he got 2 experience that. All these ppl r so brave! Only a person who stutters knows hw frustrating it is

  • I was at the beauty salon one day and this girl came in to book an appointment for a facial and she was stuttering and everyone turned and looked at her and the girl at the desk looked at her in horror but then smiled to make her feel more comfortable and I thought for a minute what it must be like to live with such a thing and be stared at every time you are at a new place. I have Asperger's Syndrome and selective mutism and I know what its like to be treated like a freak or a weirdo.

  • WOW just amazing!!... two thumbs up for Nathan! man.... :D

  • Nathan .. U are THE MAN.......

  • @xoxofunnyxoxo Thanks!

  • NATHAN KILLED THAT!!!

  • My absolute biggest fear is going to a stand up comedy show or something & being picked out of the crowd. They always ask for your name and the thought of it now makes me so nervous and terrified. Ive been to shows like that before and I can never relax. Even though it was unlikely for it to happen I knew it could easily happen and there would be no escape. The WHOLE crowd would be dead silent all focusing their attention on me. If it ever did happen I'd rather run out of the room than face it

  • There is a speech therapy program in Varazdin, Croatia. I attended it and it really helps. Send me a PM in you have any questions...

    valmod (DOT) com

  • 7mins 20 in

This is waht speech therapy does for you. Nothing! If you hit a block then take a deep breath and begin again. There is no point in trying to push through the block!

  • People who stutter find it easier to talk when they act or sing. This is because they are taking on the role of someone else

  • Speech therapists are hopeless

  • Maybe you have only met/seen/worked with Speech Language Pathologists who weren't experienced working with people who stutter/stammer. When you work with a SLP who is experienced, you can achieve truly amazing results. Not all SLPs tell their clients to "push through the block"... a lot of us work on breathing and easy onset and acceptance. You should comment on what you know, not your misguided opinions.

  • @manicbassa i know what what you mean. Speech Therptists "never" helped me either before.

  • Wow, I almost cried when Nathan did his part and didn't stammer once! The issue may just be all he's dealing with and having too much on his mind. When he performed, he had to let all of that go so maybe that's why he was able to concentrate and just do it. Plus he's doing what's in his heart, so that helped him to push through as well. God bless all those who stammer. It's going to be ok and it's possible (like you've just seen) to speak fluently. DON'T GIVE UP!!

  • i'm really happy for Nathan, he didn't stutter at all at his play!!

  • speech therapy was waste of time

  • Wow he did it! But he can't act.

  • :) but he did it! :)

  • Quite funny, ain't it? I try to smile or laugh two, when I stutter.... :)....

  • you're the man nathan, you're the man...

guys outside aren't better than you, i'm sure you are better than him, i don't know you but i loved you, and i'm feel so sorry for your stuttering,

  • with respect to the white girl (sorry forgot her name), I know this may sound a bit controversial but why not on purpose make her daughter stammer more in front of the doctors? that way she could be put on the priority list..just a thought...brave, cute little girl nonetheless..never give up!

  • Nathan, you're truly an inspiration to us ( stutterers ) you proved that with determination and hard work everything is possible, I hope you and all stutterers will soon be able to speak fluently. Good luck with your future career plans too.

  • wel done all of ye! ye shud try the mcguire programme im on it and i can now speak noing that im in control of my stammer

  • hahahaha aweeee nathannn !!!!!! :D

you did so good on stagee!!

im proud of you dearrr! <3

  • wow! you go boy!

  • oh im sooo proud of him! well done! :) :)

  • i have watched the whole of this documentary on youtube and that nathan guy was amazing on stage you could not tell at all that he stuters i used to stuter when i was young especial with the letter m but that dude was cool i respect him for doing that i dond think i would have been able to

  • Looking at the progress they have made since part 1, I have nvr had a higher respect for anyone else. Strong determination. And the courage and patience they have shown in dealing with the difficulties arising from stuttering.

    Salutations.

And Nathan's performance was STELLAR. I smiled at the silly monologue he did after the performance.

  • Nathan did brilliantly!! I myself struggled mostly from 1990 onwards and i stayed unemployed after leaving school for a good 4 years not because i was lazy but because my speech was so bad, especially in public places which destroyed me inside.

I am currently now in charge where i work but although i still stammer i no longer stammer as much as i used to. Its a MASSIVE battle to fight this and EXTREMELY frustrating.

But it can be overcome and you come to accept what stutter you still have

  • bollocks im sorry i clicked the thumbs down when i meant to click thumbs up, my bad. sorry!

  • Not a worry in the world, we all make mistakes and its no biggie :) thanks anyway mate.

  • noone can accept it,,, in europe that are therapist that can help you 100% out of stutter its like a 10 day camp and after that you wont stutter anymore

  • ah cheers mate

  • I Feel sad for the lil girl she still has to go through middle and high school with all those ignorant kids!

  • i love the fact that in the related videos for this video is a anchorman clip. good times

  • God Bless all of them!

They're great children, they should get the gift of speech!

  • what a shame that that little girl has to wait for a treatment... i got my stutter instantly treated in a fu war zone

  • looks like a good documentary, thank you for uploading this. I'd never really thought before about how difficult it would be to have a stutter. I've added this to one of my playlists, I will watch the full programme later.

  • Mudiyaga, you did great too! Congrats to both you and Nathan!

  • Nathan, that was perfect! I wish I could do the same.

  • thanks :)

  • you are that nathan guy? if you are, really good job or your thingy you didnt stutter one time

  • you are a terrible actor nathan... just terrible...

and I've never been prouder to see a person deliver a line ..ever! Cheers kid! You should be very very oroud of yourself! Way not to give up. You are an inspiration to yourself and so many others... I know how hard it is... unlike you... I walked away from my play many years ago. Wish I'd been as brave as you... bad acting and all :) lol!

  • Yeah well that was my first experience of acting, that was 5 years ago now, and i probably was pretty bad then but with 5 years experience now and doing a degree in acting i wouldnt class myself as terrible. so thanks, but no thanks for putting me down like that

  • WOW! Nathan did REALLY good on stage! You couldn't even tell he had a stutter! *tear. That just shows you can do anything if you put your mind to it. =) Wow, that was amazing.

  • Thank you very much :)

  • were these 3 people at speech therapy? if so, does anyone know which one, because i didnt watch the whole of this. if it was the michael palin one in london, i went to that one a few years ago :D

  • i been there, did nothing for me unfortuantly

  • fuck - nathan really killed that performance!!! so happy for you buddy!!! that really was one of the most courageous things i have seen!!!! you are going to make it big - never ever give up :)

  • thank you :) and i wont give up, im going university in september to do a acting degree!!

  • @NathStar69 Dude! What happened? You ROCKED that performance! It was like your speech impediment was gone. Fantastic, man. I'm jealous, lol. What control. It's been 2 years, though. Has it gotten even better?

  • @NathStar69 Congrats man, hope all is well in the courses and your future is bright, I have been stammering since 5 i am now 22, I do dance and can express my true self that way, though have been to some of the best therapists in the country, and still this curse will not leave me, though sometimes it lets go of its hold and i can talk normally, other times its hold is more tehn i can bare, no one in my family understands though they tolorate it if needs be, it is both frustrating for me n them!

  • I was amazed to see Nathan's performance and I wish him and the others further progress. When you look into their eyes you can feel their unshakable will to overcome the stutter.

I just wish they could give it a stry with a foreign language, one they choose out of affinity among other languages.

    Good luck for you all

  • wow nathan that was perfect on that stage..

  • thank you :)

  • are nathan really a stutterer??

    That's was so perfect!!

he must holded his breath to maintain the prounce..

  • Nathan! How the hell did you do it?! Wow. Do share the technique. Might come useful to me! And why not use that technique every time?

  • is part 5 the final part to this documentary?????

  • i dno how he performed infront of every1 but well done, ur definately better than me. for some reason my tongue comes out of my mouth when i stammer and my tongue is huge.

  • yeah i get that sometimes

  • i used to stutter in my younger years. i still have a hard time with the word "I" when i need to ask something. sometimes i write and e-mail because of the disorder :\

  • I'm so proud for him! He did good on that play.

  • Thanks biochips. Well done Nathan. I hope your stammer is getting better

  • Thats awesome! Tell him if he ever becomes famous he'll have a number 1 fan!

  • haha thanks give me an address and ill send ya a autograph!!

  • Hey Nathan. How do you manage to be so perfectly fluent when acting in a play? I stutter as well, but couldn't speak fluently as an actor. Maybe it's because I have no acting talent... I don't know.

  • oh blimey, if im honest mate i do not have a clue. it just comes naturally i suppose. i cant really explain it. i mean since this documentary my speach is alot better though obviously my stutter is still very noticable, and at times it can be very bad. but in answer to you question im sorry but i just dont know. its something i always wonder but just cant think of a reason for.

  • haha thanks kel, but thats only cause you never fuckin invite me out!!!!!

  • Hey are you the guy in the documentary?

  • hey yeah i am that guy

  • Really? That's awesome lmao.

How long ago was that filmed?

  • erm 3 years ago i think, maybe 4

  • Cool. Well nice talkin to you. I wish you the best. =)

  • wow you did a gr8 job!!!:-D

  • my heart bleeds for these people i'm a stutterer meself and my speech impediment's taken a lot off me and it's ruined me fucking life

  • take it easy fermisk

  • It has only ruined your life cos you let it, grow up and take control of it instead of letting it control you. And yes I do know what im talking about, i have spent the last 14 yrs watching my son suffer, now he has it in his control and I have never met a stronger person in my life. it can be done if YOU want it enough, it you cant be bothered...your loss.

  • haha yea go mum!!!

  • its easy for you to say..i think your attitude is crap..have a bit of empathy my brother killed himself cos he stuttered...so what your son is in control ..good for him..not everyone gets better ..you never had this so even though you have a son..you havent A FUCKIN CLUE....YOU CUNT..
