  • sound like a kid speaking some asian language im familiar with

  • In some states, a conviction equals 6 months loss of driving PRIVILEGES!

  • Uually my bus driver just honk at them lol

  • JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!

  • @chooseright24 not in MN or at least not in the NSP,Maplewood ,Oakdale area

  • @ peakcomp0621 and others saying that kids should not be crossing the roadway. That is not the issue. The issue is the drivers failing to stop for the stop arm on the school bus. There is a divider in the highway. Most likely if there are kids on the other side of that, that bus, or another probably drops them off on that side. Please have another look. Kids are not crossing that road. They are exiting the bus and to the right. The drivers behind the stop arm should be stopping.

  • Ok so what happens if there is no cop on a particular day, you run the reds and a child comes walking out in front of you!!! I DON'T CARE WHAT KIND OF ROAD IT IS ON, IF THE REDS ARE ON YOU NEED TO STOP, IT IS NOT SAFE FOR YOU TO BE RUNNING THE REDS COPS OR NOT! Childrens lives are at stake, if you killed a child because of being a neglegent moron would you be able to live with yourself??? I know I wouldn't!!!

  • Watch the "People Behaving Badly" by news reporter TVman1981 in S.F.

F&#*ing mayhem. You'd think there are zero traffic laws there.

  • Those drivers cheated on their drivers test.

  • i agree, kids should not be crossing at that roadway period. regardless of direction of travel.

  • I always ignore the school bus stop sign. NO cop=no ticket=no foul. NO ticket unless cops catches me.

  • @ylen13 bus driver can get your tag # and report you and also sometimes cops do ride the buses

  • @chooseright24 Sure but it means nothing. Register owner(s) are not responsible for the action of the driver. As such there is nothing cops can do anything about it. If a cop ride in a bus and runs after you to pull you over to get your DL in order to ticket you i guess he/she can do that. However i do not see that happening. So chances of driver getting ticket is pretty much zero.

  • wow....lol....i counted three....thats $3000 total in fines!

  • Damn! You win. The most I have ever had, was 7.

  • All those people driving by are malicious, child hating, law breaking, negligent, self absorbed jerks with no regards for the safety of the children? I don't think so. What ever happened to practicality?

  • Nobody should have to stop there because it's too big a highway for kids to cross anyways. On a 2 lane rd yes but if it's not logical beyond any reasonable doubt that law should be ruled invalid for this particular situation.

  • The applicable statute is Vehicle Code section 22454, and is applicable ONLY if the school bus has both red lights flashing and a sign activated. If the school bus is stopped to load or unload schoolchildren and has its lights flashing and stop sign out, vehicles on the same side must stop. Vehicles on the opposite side must also stop unless it is a divided highway (one with barriers or open space between two roadways) or a multiple lane highway (two or more lanes of travel in both directions).

  • Violation of this law will get you a $300 ticket.

The law is in force primarily for Safety Reasons. If you had a child who rode a school bus and were aware of the potential dangers of vehicles passing by while loadng and unloading I'm sure you would see this law differently.

BTW, the school bus driver can note the license plate of a person violating the law, report him to the police, and have a ticket issued later, so the guy who passed you might be getting an unwelcome letter.

  • @snickershotdog Yeah I don't think you understood my comment. That's a ridiculous law just like the criminalization of marijuana. The only way it should be applicable is if it's a 2 lane rd. No school district would ever allow a child of any age to cross a road with 3 or more lanes.

  • @ItsCoreyLynxxYall

The law is for safety reasons. Safety of the kids getting on and off. Safety for the bus and driver. And safety of the kids still on the bus. I have had an instance where a car went past my stop arm, and then pulled in front of me and turned right into the driveway of the business, where the kids who had just gotten off the bus were now walking. And that is one reason people need to stop.

  • @snickershotdog Who cares what the law says, unless cop is around nothing can be done about it.

  • @snickershotdog except the bus driver has no way of actually proving that anyone driver passed by.

  • @ItsCoreyLynxxYall Where I live, if a school bus stop sign comes out, ALL TRAFFIC MUST STOP no matter what the case, and yes, we are in the U.S.

  • by law in most states and i know california has this law cars on the same side of the road as the school bus have to stop

  • @ItsCoreyLynxxYall "Too big a highway" you say? The size of the road isn't the issue here. For example, this looks like a special ed bus (short bus and the reds weren't on that long, meaning only one kid got off), in which case, the driver's dropping a special ed student at his/her HOME. Some people live on busy throughfares like this one. As soon as the reds started flashing, ALL vehicles behind the bus should have stopped.

  • @ItsCoreyLynxxYall Wrong! It's called a safety cushion for students exiting the bus. kids are unpredictable. If their homework flies out of their hand and they go running into the road to get it, and you go blowing past the red flashing lights and stop arm and kill that kid....then what will you have to say??!! Your argument is unjust and very selfish to say the least.

  • Sting operations would be a good deterrent.

  • she was better off not putting up the stop sign cause then it wouldn't have looked soo bad lol wow!!!!!

  • WOW LOL Peeps dont stop for the little kids anymore. Thats kind of what happened on my bus today....

  • i counted nine that was on the same side of the median as the school bus

  • good grief. That was a lot of cars running that stop light.

  • I counted 12 drivers.
