Jeff is definitely the best singer of our time. I saw him back in the mid-eighties writing history with Yngwie Malmsteen and last week I went to see him live in Germany and I can tell you he's still an amazing singer and the best frontman I've ever seen!
Non-believers should check out his Queen stuff ...it even impressed Brian May who he's good friends with ever since. This man can sing everything!

They keep trying to bring good singers to replicate the voice of a 19 year-old Perry and making them sound bad in the process. Perry couldn´t do Perry anymore because he grew up, and naturally his voice changed. They keep insisting on the impossible, look at the size and weight of this Soto, how can he sound good trying to sing soprano all night? Wake up Journey management.
You guys can judge his singing by listening to a camcorder video? Put on your favorite Steve Perry song and then max out the treble. Like what you hear?If you haven't been to a concert with JSS don't knock his singing. I saw this very concert and was impressed with it. Def Leppard was also very good.
