a tune is not written for one instrument exclusively.

a tune should be universal. Celtic Spring's version is beautiful. i love the pipes as well, and i have two of gordon duncan's albums. it is so sad that gordon is not around anymore to play his amazing compositions. it is up to other musicians to share his tunes with the world.

I have Celtic Spring's new album, and the Sleeping Tune is my favorite track as well! It is sooo beautiful!!! How can MacArthurPiper not like it??? If he does not like Celtic Spring's version, he should keep his opinion to himself. I have seen Celtic Spring in concert numerous times, and when they play the Sleeping Tune, everybody loves it!!! At one concert they got a standing ovation after they played this tune!!! It is the the most popular track on their new album. It is AWESOME!!!

I am with you all the way MacArthurPiper. I've played the fiddle with both scottish pipes and irish eilleiuin ( can never get the spelling right on those) and it was fantastic. Pipes, like fiddles can play solo and sound great in the right hands. If celtic spring members cannot play good individually, they should go get more lessons until they can. What they can't do solo is flaw-magnified 5 times over when they gaggle together like that. It's a horrible sound .

THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG ON THE CELTIC SPRING CD!!! I have it. I saw them in person twice, they came to our town (Lafayette Indian) because they know the Priest at our church, I met them both times, they are really nice. :) GO CELTIC SPRING!

Check out their new album,'Cornerstone'. they play tune is on it. i think they are on tour on the east coast for the summer, but definitely check their website out.

i saw them at the Celtic Fling in Pennsylvania, and they played the 'Sleeping Tune'. It was so much more beautiful live than on this video.
