  • How many people were at the game.... Oh wait it's an islanders game lmao but wow should've used the body

  • Welcome to Finland

  • damn I am from finland..

  • iltalehti

  • He is the best Finnish goalie.

  • not a bad goal for toskala

  • Toskala, you tainted the leafs brialliant history with a dash of shame. The only thing that would cheer me up is if he stuffed his head in a bag and sufficated. Even then, i'd still have to incinerate his body to make me forget. He may have forgotten how to stop a puck, but we won't be able to forget something as horrible as that.

  • Seeing it makes me cry. I'm a loyal leafs fan and i've never seen anything more retarted. The emotions i feel when I see this, it makes me want to go fucking emo. Who the fuck in the name of dumbasses in history lets in that type of a shot. I don't know how to skate and even I know I could stop that puck.

  • @rshockeygeek do you know how hard it is to stop a bouncing puck? Let me tell you: FUCKING HARD. No matter how far away or close, it's the hardest shot to save in hockey.Obviously, not knowing how to skate, you wouldn't be able to go on the ice, let alone make the NHL. So shut the fuck up and go try to save it, prick.

  • @theauraofawesomeness Well, it's still an awful goal. Granted bouncing pucks make life harder, but it was fired from the other end and took about four seconds to reach Toskala - he could've simply placed his torso in front of the puck and if he didn't manage to catch it it would've been harmless and he'd pick it off soon afterwards.

  • @mtgowns1 Need glasses mate on last camera angle its cearly visible that he had hes body infront of it, however the puck took a bounce to the right as it was infront of him so no you cant aticipate where it will go even if your torso is infront of it..

  • @mtgowns1 IT BOUNCES, which makes it change direction. As the commentator says at 0:40, it turns right. It was actually not an easy save.

  • @theauraofawesomeness Yeah, fair enough. Maybe he should've gone out to get the puck before it took the bounce. Can't predict that, though, but he's paid to be better than me at handling the puck

  • Lol Bryan McCabe skated up to Toskala and said "Don't worry, kid, I have scored on our own net at least 5 times."

  • vesa toskala eats donkey shit balls ok.... and am i leafs fan like wtf?! and to make it even worse it was against the islanders :O

  • ive seen worse

  • play him off, Keyboard Cat

  • holy mackara

  • He knew it was bouncing he should of just put his body infront of it. Not try to catch it.

  • Toskala is back in Finland playing for Ilves.....who is also near the league's cellar lol. Unfortunately my SaiPa Lappeenranta IS the cellar rofl

  • Yeah go leafs go !

  • lol at the fatty :17 acting like its the best thing she ever saw

  • the guy at the end said you suck, 10 games later he said your the best goalie ever made

  • 0:53 giggity giggity giggity giggity

  • Giggity Giggity

  • only goal toskala allowed in that game, i'm pretty sure. i think the leafs won 2-1. and that is a CRAZY bounce, expecially since there were no stanchions involved

  • he got trolled :P

  • WOW..its packed there

  • theres like no fans lol

  • That's not easy to save, you see that it bounces just before Toskala.

  • GO ILES MAYBE NOT THE BEST BUT THEY DO SHOCKING THINGS

  • lolololol toskala was a fail back then and still is and especially aganist the worst team i bet a house league goalie would stop that

  • did he take an arrow in the leg?

  • @Nriney123456 dont bring this this arrow-to-knee -shit in hockey culture pls

  • only goalies should be able to say something because only they know how hard it is to stop shots like these

  • Giggity giggity giggity...

  • This has bugged me for a long time: A North American rink is 200 ft. long. The goal line is 11 ft. from the end boards. The puck was slightly in front of the goal line when he shot it. 200-11=189, not 197. Announcer fail.

  • @avsfan331940 Are you sure its 11 feet from the boards?

  • @LeftyStylez Yes

    cdn.nhl.com/images/upload/2008/06/rink_diagram.gif

  • @avsfan331940 wouldn't you have to minus another 11 because the leaf goal is 11 feet from the board as well so its really 178?

  • those bouncing puck are hard to save cuz they can bounce in almost direction

  • Who won this game?

  • @Hexaron Leafs won it 3-1 in the end.

  • @waterlizardz123 Good for them hehe ;) thx!

  • @waterlizardz123 leafs won? at least it was a relief for toskala.

  • as an ex goaltender its really hard trying to block a shot like that because a hockey puck is not like a ball you can't anticipate the rebound. So trust me this goaler do not suck because of that

  • @kratorz1 that IS true, but he could've easily just put his body in front of the puck..

  • @skater0bryan look carefully man thats exactly what he did but the puck did a weird bounce to his right that he couldn't anticipate

  • Its the curse of putting on a Leafs jersey

  • you've gotta love joe bowen HOLY MACKINAW lol

  • how is that even possible that he missed thaT?!?

  • Holy Mackinaw

  • lol so many empty seats

  • Comment removed

  • He was amazing until he went to the Leafs...... Same with Gigure

  • @CoolCanadianGuy7 excuse my ignorance, but where was he before?

  • @WorldOfWarcraftMable Toskala was with the Sharks and Giguere was with the Ducks

  • @CoolCanadianGuy7 Obviously you're joking about Vesa, he never put up good numbers for San Jose, and Giguere was on the downslide when he got traded to Toronto, he wasn't even good enough for them to want as backup anymore.

  • @lionbaiter Giguere took his team to the finals, and Toskala was putting up GREAT stats until he went the leafs. 23-7, 26-10, than he went to the leafs and then 33-25, 22-17.

  • You could probbly score on vesa toskala with a MEDICINE BALL!

  • his career was finnish after that one.

  • Kaberle and McCabe are like WTF man..

  • love how all 9 islander fans in the stadium chearing

  • the worst goal ever let in by the worse goaltender ever!

  • ilves.com Toskala plays there. Team is just like Leafs!

  • And now he's "retired"

  • Shit happens..

  • The Islanders only goal of the season....

  • I like toronto and this is still a hilarious video

  • toskGOALa

  • the goalie sholdve shot he would scored no chance for toskala XD

  • 0:20 ei vituta

  • Rob Davison got extremely lucky as hell on that play

  • @XxXF1571NUR455XxX Have you ever heard from Tuukka Rask or Pekka Rinne?

  • @evilTaker90 Pretty sure that was sarcasm, lol. And you're forgetting about Kipper and Kari Lehts, two other great starters.

As for this vid, I'll never get tired of watching it!

  • @evilTaker90 From FIN! ;)

  • O.o

  • He should have got his body infront of the puck incase it bounced over his glove.

  • H4X?

  • thats what happen when 2 crappy team play against...

  • well that's the most difficult shot catch

  • He gets too much shit for this. This has happened to Patrick Roy more than once.

  • it was bouncing give him a break

  • @TheCharlie04 We all know it was bouncing, but what stopped him from blocking the shot with his body?

  • @TheCharlie04 he shouldve put his paddle down and put his body behind it.

  • yaaa thats how we roll on the island...lets go islanders!!!!!!!

  • And that's why he's not in NHL. (he's back here in Finland if anyone cares:D)

  • why didnt he be smart and get in front of the puck?

  • Wow wtf hax! It fucking haxjumped.

  • Vesa aint that bad goalie. His average % in NHL was 90.2% which is good for any 2nd goalie.

  • i heard giggity

    ahahhaahahahahahaha

  • thumbs up if u whatch this in 2011

  • very funny lol

  • Those bouncing pucks are fucking annoying and hard to save.

  • the funny part is that he would of had a shut out if he didnt let that in

  • Ouch. Shorthanded.

  • isn't this a Canadian sport..?

  • @martian507 he's not canadian ya dumb fucking chink

  • bouncing puck it happens

  • I like the goal horn the islanders have.

  • Great shot. Toskala had no chance.

  • If he didn't have such a slow glove, he MIGHT, I repeat, MIGHT have been able to get it, I play goalie, so I know how difficult it would've been.

    Either way.. Leafs suck.

  • lol when i was watching this game the leafs were doing bad during the season and I said to my dad well this season couldn't get any worse and this goal happened and I was like Sh*t why meeeee lol

  • Funny, but Toronto still won that game so whatever....who cares :)

  • That is like the only goalie i hate on the leafs...

  • =)))) omg..

  • And that's why he plays in the nhl and not the mlb lmaoo

  • the last bounce makes it practicly impossible to catch

  • this guy got paid over a million dollars a year for that

  • You cant just use your glove to stop a bouncing puck like that.... he just screwed the pouch on that one.

  • Nobody is perfect

  • saw this live. toskala is a fag

  • quagmire giggidy giggidy giddigy at 0:54

  • @deuceninelives2 thanks :)

  • FUCK THE LEAFS!

  • blame the ice

  • "Sieve, you suck!" :D

  • Ahh.. We finnish people should be proud of ourselves! We have the worsts goalies ever and also the best goalies ever!

  • toskala est le plus peche

  • He could have squared up to the puck a little better but by the way its bouncing its hard to anticipate. and as someone who has played goalie sometimes the farther away the shot is the worse it is because u have more time to think about how u can save it or screw it up

  • @Metalfest44 Thats so true.. If the shot comes from farther away you have too much time to think and you can not just react...

  • Like 20 people in the crowd

  • They still won the game.

  • Being a Teronna Make Beleaf will do this to you. James REEEEEEmer will fail like the rest of em.

  • @ghostsintheforum troll harder and maybe you'll grow a pair

  • @aplayaz2000 cheer for a real hockey team and maybel you'll grow a pair.

  • @ghostsintheforum lol "real" definition from a troll is always the best

i don't believe in bandwagon fans, tyx

  • should have put his body in front of it..

  • actually this season james reimer stood on their head he will bring us to cup victory this year so shut up

  • funny to see all the leaf fans comments on the videos, the goalie is always the shittiest and the reason they loose, and then the goalie gets traded and plays against the leafs in a different team and you still lose even if the other team all the sudden has the "worst goalie in history of the game"

  • people saying he should have been more centered he was actually u cannot predict however a puck is going to all of a sudden turn to ur right. I do play goalie and know how tricky this stuff can be

  • I realize It's not EASY to take that goal but he couldn't at least centered up better. That's just poor handling of the stick if you let it get in the way.

  • thats what you get for using a montreal stick in toronto

  • who heard the gigidididigi in this video?

  • its not easy to save shot like that im goalie and im know it.

  • thats what you get when you steal cujo's mask

  • You guys can judge him all you want but I've played goalie and that was a good shot.

  • And the fan goes wild!

  • GOD THAT GUY SUCKS

  • @kmerkulov1

I will bet you all my money that You can't even save that shot, that was just bad luck for Toskala, but he is a very good goalie, he was amazing with san jose, and that was the BEST bounce ever.

  • I wonder what McCabe sais to him.

  • @Maxell2292 not sure but I bet even Toskala can spell "says" correctly

  • haha i do like the end of the video though,

"Leafs come back to win 3-1

    The end"

  • thank god the sharks traded him

  • he does suck, but this doesnt prove that, thats just unlucky

  • goodness gracious.

  • why does it say MONTREAL on his stick? lol

  • @rey2kay OMG you'r an idiot xD MONTREAL is like BAUER or RBK and other hockey firm :D Who make hockey equipment :D That was whery stupid question :D If it say's MONTREAL doesn't mean that it is a city :D

  • @rey2kay its the brand of the stick

  • Vesas stick says montreal on it?

  • @spezow1234 it's just the type of stick, has nothing to do with the canadians team. Warrior is better though =p

  • @Sacrificial92 oh i see, i'm not a hardcore hockey fan lol

  • i wish that goalie shot that

he could have got a shutout if they did not score

  • i wish that goalie shot that

  • HOLY JACKINOFF

  • @monkeyduck93 Hello, I have been watcing you.

  • I dont know whats worse. the fact that he let in a 197 foot shot or that he did it and won the game 3-1

  • oh my god shut up people and go to maple leafs goalie i bet you're 1000000000x times worse than him and like the guy said in top comments,it IS really hard to pick up a puck that is bouncing like that!

    -goalie

  • Q:What do Micheal Jackson and Vesa Toskala have in common.

A:They both were a glove on one had- for no reason.

    R.I.P. Micheal Jackson

    R.I.P. Vesa Toskala's career

  • I'm sorry to say this but he was the shittiest goalie in Leafs history.

  • @GoLeafsGoBaby I disagree. Raycroft couldn't stop a beach ball!!!!!

  • funny how the crowd chanted hey you suck! at toskla

  • wait a minute... 0:52

  • Holy Mackinoff!

  • Bouncer

  • and this is why most people think the leafs suck

  • he was in his crease...he's gotta come out a bit more for that

  • :54 for gigity gigitgy

  • really its not easy to take it in clove because of puck jumping like that ...... remember puck never jump straight on so not easy as it seems !

  • Only on the leafs could that happen.

  • he could of easily prevented that

  • Those are actually very hard shots to stop because of how the puck randomly bounces. Still Toskala isn't that good.

  • @aqinthe Well, since you have to have acertain standardon your goaltending if you want to make to the NHL, he must be quite ok. I am not saying that there aren't better goaltenders.

  • @MadeInFinland44 He was average, maybe slightly above average in SJ. He isn't doing very good in Toronto. But in his defence the rest of the Leafs playing in front of him pretty much suck.

  • I love the people who say he sucks cus the guy scored this goal, notice how i dont say he let it in. When ever a goalie is scored on apparently they "let it in", no they got scored on. and no goalie would of stoped that no way no how. and dont comment saying what he should of done because you have seen the video you know where the puck is going to bounce next, toskala didnt.

  • @rsacc4sale1 NO goalie would have stopped that? Are you fucking insane? Every single goalie in the NHL (except Toskala) would have stopped that. It happens all the time. Instead of trying to catch the puck like a retard he should have got in front of it and blocked it.

  • OOMAAIIGAAAD

  • poor goalie
