I noticed the Manzanita perch! TONS of Manzanita grows all over Paradise and Magalia! Just down the hill (within a 2 minute walk from Ted's house), there are TONS of GIANT dead Manzanita bushes that need to be removed. Their root system is so shallow a 12-year-old could pull one out! When I show your picture to Ted, he'll probably start dragging bushes home when he comes back from his daily walks! We'll probably fight over the power tools in the beginning! I think I'll get a bush and make one!

I can just see Ted's expression! "What the hell are you doing with that?" Then, when I start sawing... and I can run a chainsaw as my ex-boyfriend owned a tree service ... he'll be right there wanting to take over MY project! Lol! It's so fun to have everything you need ...... pneumatic tools, belt sander, drill press, table saw, miter box saw, etc. which make it a snap to build things. You should see the iron swings he's making. Attached to a swivel, they swing back, forth and around!

I rescued my little Luen (another rose-breasted/galah) a while ago... He's not even one year old yet!

Very nice bday tribute. Angel is lovely and looks very healthy too. Love at first sight is the best way to adopt/be adopted. Parrots have a rather perverse sense of humor. She prob gives a pinch to get a chuckle. My BFF has a male eclectus that pinches her hubby just 2 get a rise out of him. Aren't birdkids the best! Sincerely, mysweetybird in CA

I have had Angel for 9 years, she was in a parrot rescue for 2 years before I adopted her. She went to rescue after her original owner passed away. She was a plucker and doesn't talk and likes to nip you for no particular reason so she was a little difficult to place. I took one look at her and fell in love! I am happy to report she no longer plucks, still doesnt talk but is QUITE a dancer! She still reserves the right to give me a good pinch for no particular reason 8-)
