Plenty of Christians believe that if you are exposed and adopt Christianity then you are indeed damned to hell. Pretty much every Baptist, for example.
You make a very interesting point there. One day I reckon scientists will invent an anti-delusional drug and put it in everyones water. The problem will then be solved. Or is that just my deluded thinking? *Sigh!*.
I've never thought of this argument this way. Sadly, I've already come to the conclusion It would not be long before one man had control over another, then several more. Before you know it we have kings handing down marching orders to the people under his thumb, being told what to believe and the proper way to believe it. Including not believing being "hell" worthy. Then other private groups quietly noticing things, testing, logging their work to be built on as it's past on.
Religion is geographic, and religious groups all think they are right, and they all dismiss other religions. But taking away scientists and the Bible, and science would be the same, but how would you come to the same conclusions about God - excellent point. The first time I have ever heard that idea. Of course, it would be difficult to dream up the crap religions convince people of. Great video!
@420messenger They know what god to worship from the texts, how else would they know about jesus, holy spirit, and the miracles, if you were a Christian?
I find it a very telling fact that as we have become more effective at fact-checking and investigating claims of miracles, the number of miracles has diminished to a point of nonexistence. Funny how that is. In the time period when these miracles could not be checked for truthfulness, they happened all the time. But today, not so much.
@manmadesounds I suspect that is why we only hear tell of the miraculous when it comes to praying for rain, assistance in finding a job, or the healing of some common ailment - all of which will occur naturally, if given enough time. ; )
Ask a 1000 scientists their informed opinion on a certain scientific matter and you will get 2 or 3 different opinions or explanations that more or less jive with the data and each other - ask 1000 theists their views and you get 1000 mutually exclusive and contradictory opinions about the same thing. You`ve got some great questions here, good job.
@St00sh13 Er...Yes they did. There were multitudes of messianic cults in the 1st century BCE and these became some of the xian cults into the 1st century CE and beyond. Their jeebus was a "revealed" messiah based upon scripture. This is how xianity began. Just as Paul's jerkus never set foot on Earth as a flesh and blood man. In all of Paul's writings, he never appealed to jeebus' life, miracles, death or resurrection in 1st century Palestine. Why do you suppose that is? It wasn't invented yet.
Heh. It was the same for me. I allways saw Jesus as some enlightend, spiritual teacher and master that thaught that God is a spiritual perspective of looking at the world with love and without judging, "the kingdom of god" within everyman - a spiritual language to describe a certain mystical feeling, and not some supernatural super king. I couldn't get it how christians couldn't get it, then I reread the gospels and saw they were filled with contradictions as well. xD
totally unrelated...but your face is very sexy. aand in short, of course if there was no bible there would be no christianity...but there would be a simular form of it due to the various other religions with the same stories that the writters of the bible pretty much copied...
well, even with the bible christians cant reach the same conclusions as other christians.
basically thats why we have the bible, to try and get them all on the same page.
as opposed to as science book, which you are paralleling it to, which is recording observable facts, the bible is an opinion piece for an antiquated political system with an inserted back story to assert authority.... that is open to interpretation.
I will have to respond here. you said if the bible exist or ypu did not learn about it which one is it.? Has Christianity been revealed,? if it has how many peoeople re christian? I would lioke to think asa untiarian I am not just a christian, I call myself a chrisian as well I try anfdf ollow jesus teachings, however not to the determent of everything else. Howevereveryone is saved in untiarian doctrine so yoiur question doesnt really aplly.
@Tylzen if it still revealed then people would still knjow about it. CHristians existed long before the bible did. So I can appeal to historey for that one
@Stigmatibus He is not saying science has not changed he is saying the conclusions will be the same because the universe is constant, while made up religions as all religions are they will be different as they are randomly generated

They would be damned because he initially damns everybody. He sends everybody to hell pretty much. It's his natural disposition.

Trough time, humans have always worshipped some god, or gods.
There still are humdreds, if not thousands different religions.
If they wouldn't find the same god to worship they would find another idiotic creep to worship.
Look at $cientology, it's a brand new 'religion' of some sort.
Obviously many humans need this thing outside of our reality wich they want to bow to.
To comfort them selves, and wich hold all the answers to their questions. :-)

lol, Christians can't come up with single coherent conclusion and you want to take away their holy books? You're cruel :)

even if everything, including yourself or religions, disappears tomorrow, that doesn't mean God disappears.

@420messenger That is not what I have been saying in the video, if only the holy texts disappeared. :)

@Tylzen "the holy texts"
also a part of everything. even if everything (including the texts) disappears tomorrow, that doesn't mean God disappears.
420messenger 1 month ago
@420messenger As I said, this question only applies to the information and texts about said religion.
Yes I am aware that if there is a god, it would not disappear along with the written text.
But how would people know about it, and for example Jesus, would it require another revelation?
Tylzen 1 month ago
@Tylzen why wouldn't people know about God? do you think people get to be inspired by God from some texts?

@Tylzen there are basically two types of people. one who's inspired by God and the other inspired by the Words of God. which type do you fall into?
420messenger 1 month ago
@420messenger Neither, you have just presented a false dichotomy :) You get a free cake in Ukranie now.

Er... No they didn't. Christians follow Christ and he only appears in the new testament.

No. He actually has a point. The bible is a book which was compiled after various christian groups already existed.
