As for the live performance, looks like lip synching to me. Zero drop off as he moves away from the mic still singing. Not that I blame him, it might have been a req of the show. Still a rad musician though.

I'm Marilyn's big big fan. i'm sorry but for me this performance is ridiculous. Brian needs more space and more aware audience. there is no connection between him and people in studio. but it's only my opinion, don't be angry.

I respect him very very much that's why I think he deserves better places to perform live.

I don't think it's lip-syncing, but Youtube lag in the video. I remember seeing this live and it looked legit. Then again, anything's possible with TV magic so you be the judge. Either way, good show.
