95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop over and over again. If you're one of the 5% who still listens to real music, thumb this up, then copy and paste it to at least five videos. Don't let the spirit of rock and roll die!
@brandiandpaul........... You are so right. A few more that packed the house was Chicago, the Doobies, Kiss, Bad Company, and Ozark Mountain Daredevils. The 70's music will never be forgotten by us 70's Rockers. A great time to be a teen!
Pretty sure I was in the wrong decade (1981) I loved this music since my childhood. thanks to my mom. I use to play her 45 and 33s every chance I get. CCR is the best!
ok...anyone besides me notice how incredibly short his guitar is...lmao...its like 10 ft long...im pretty sure they had longer chords back then..you'd think if you was john fohgerty and playing for thousands of people you could get a chord long enough to reach your mic...oh yeah...and they sound great
yeah, it's called a coil cord. popular in the 60s, it was like a coiled telephone cord, the idea being that your cord would not drag on the floor! you can buy them again if you dig that retro look.
This passed as camera work and direction? What a disgraceful act to perform upon one of the greatest bands of all time. Possibly the worst video of one of the best songs ever. MAYBE if I was on acid I could appreciate the camera work.
Hey i rode through the 50's with elvis, jerry lee, and carl perkins. lucked out through 60's and vietnam. still here. then CCR hit the charts - i am 66 years old and still love this music.
@tntch2 I'm right with you. We are two lucky louts to have been born and lived through what might be one of the most phenomenal times - ever - anywhere - yea, 'Nam was tough, some scars, but not the worst for wear. Picked up two hitchhiking young soldiers in the 90s, a CCR tape was playing, they'd never heard them but, liked them so much, I gave them the tape. The least I could do. CCR's timeless.
Over 40 Years later and still love this music, I really can not tell anyone about new music past 83'. Fine with me though I can live in this era of music
what's a 'midnight special'? What's he singin about here .. shine a lite on me. Someone please explain as I'm a little slow on the uptake. And don't call me an idiot or a d-shit or a dumb f&ck because after no less than 1000 such comments I'm gettin tired of that.
"Midnight Special" is a train. Supposedly it was a train that ran past Sugarland prison in Texas. The train would run past at midnight and shine its light into the prisoner's cells. At least that's the story. :)
The midnight special was also a streamliner for the Alton railroad, it ran from Chicago to St. Louis. It was also Southern Pacific's Golden Gate Limited which would put in the neighbor hood of the prison around the time

Justin bieber, aguilera, spears - by themselves the only thing they can fill up is an MTV studio.

CCR and John gave us really great Rock'n Roll music - M.J. 's first aim was to perform himself !!
