And often times they are in the woods a safe distance helping guide the 234 to the next log.
That is what I have heard....only successful really in large wood and clear cuts...the grapple does serve a purpose,

@jjsandersheli yes one grapple replaces a whole choker crew. With that big of a chopper with close flights your talking what 15-30 paychecks.
