  • That was, in the absolute best possible way, horrendous!

  • This'd be even better if they all had Scottish accents!

    /watch?v=Ox7ir1hu9EU

  • It is just me, or does Alison Pill look really cute here?

  • Michael Cera's accent is terribru. Everyone else's seems pretty fine to me.

  • There is no British accent. Just English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish.

  • i didnt know it was possible to make such a terrible british accent :/

  • theyre being a bit south african, a bit new zealand(ish?) and some Australian, then some canadian, and some American accents. There are only a few words that fall into a british accent...

  • Great

  • Ahahaha! Being British I found this most amusing... (btw there's no such thing as a 'British' accent, they're doing English accents)

  • He sounds Austrailian.

  • sounds more Australian.

  • Michael Cera master of impression, accents and becoming the character that is playing

  • Australians aren't english.

If this was in Australian, all the script would be replaced by "KOI RIGHT YEAH CHUN-DA!"

  • I didnt realise Michael Cera was trying to do a English accent until I read the top comment.

  • I like how Kim just gives up half way through

  • What the hell I'm British and I dont talk in that bullshit accent

  • @534speedo same

  • dreadful english accents

  • LMAO ... British accent, wtf is that supposed to be, Britain is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. That would be one fucked up accent

  • @MrCastle97 You're right, it would be a fucked up accent, I hate it when people use the word Britain as if its a country, it's not, it's an island comprised of 3 countries (of which Northern Ireland isn't one).

  • We DO NOT sound like that.

  • there is no such thing as a british accent

  • @SirKnightAlot1

But there is a English accent

  • @TheSolidblade

there is not 1 but many

  • @SirKnightAlot1

    True

Same in America but on a massive scale

We have this kind of melting pot thing going on

    I probably have like five

I understand getting annoyed when somebody says British Accent

  • CHECHERED SHIRTS FTW!

  • well butter me up and hand me a scone xD

  • F for Effort Cera

  • ... XDD

  • i'm aussie and that sounds nothing like australian to me

  • Michael's so cute trying to do the British accent while fighting his Canadian and American urges xD

  • They sound Australian.

  • So... Is Stephen Stills on the next Pirates of the Caribbean?

  • they all sound quite Australian

  • we don't talk like that we talk like any normal person >.<

  • we do not speak like a cockney orphan on crack! no, if you'll excuse me, i have to go back home and clean my bowler hat.

  • WHOA KIM LOOKS.. DIFFERENT.

  • Comment removed

  • E for effort, cera.

  • I love the Spaced vide of quality going one here.

Makes me think it would have made an Awesome 6 part TV series.

  • @Edward306 you mean it kinda seems abit like Spaced? ( Simon Pegg et Al.) I definitely see what you mean, that would be awesome!

  • @Tightmanhole I meant "Space Vibe"

I must have been wearing gloves when typing that comment.

Each ex deserves an episode each I think, Would have been pretty sweet.

  • Wow, my computer went crazy and the comment went on the wrong video.

    Ummm.

Anyway. This made me laugh like heck, neils "did you do it yet" cracked me up.

I bet johnny simmons is way better at doing an english accent now that he's dating emma watson eh

  • @TwoStupidGirlsYT hahah she a lucky fucker. all that zelda and mario action idk if she can handle it!!

  • Im a huge fan of scott pilgrim; the books and the movie. Im dying to play the game too but im dissapointed theres no option to play as wallace.. Or young neil.

    They are kick ass!

Ok maybe only wallace is, but who doesnt love young neil, seriously.

  • Was that Michael Cera's attempt at a British accent? Lmao, Michael you're my favorite Canadian :)

  • more Australian then British but funny nonetheless.

  • @gibbi8 I'm Australian and I have to say that was nothing like an Australian accent. I'd say it was more like a mixture of about 5 different accents.

  • FOR FUCKS SAKE!!!!!!!!!! Just enjoy the clip and stop turning this into some damn political debate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Meh5578 Oh right, I get what you mean now, and I overreacted as well, so no problem :P

  • @Meh5578 Just in case you didn't get my message, the British Isles include England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland (ROI). The United kingdom includes all of these except ROI. That's where you're right. But I said the British Isles, which include ROI.

  • @nerfshooter96 If you say the British Isles then yes it includes the isle of Ireland. But what you said was "By saying British you are including Wales, scotland, northern Ireland, and Republic of Ireland!" which got me kinda edgy cos it sounded you were including ROI as part of what one would think of as Britain. AKA the UK. Sorry I over-reacted I guess.

  • stop taking the mickey out of us, you four

  • Aaaahhh! I'm ENGLISH!!!! Not BRITISH!!! By saying British you are including Wales, scotland, northern Ireland, and Republic of Ireland! Those are the British isles! if you want a Scottish accent, watch Frankie boyle, for welsh, rhod Gilbert, and Irish, Dara O'brien (all comedians). COME ON!!

  • @nerfshooter96 No. When you say British you in fact do NOT include the Republic of Ireland. That's Irish. Not British. Not Ever.

  • Stephen sounds like a pirate LOL

  • Didn't realise Michael Cera was trying to do a British accent until like half way through.

  • @captainwilfy

lol yeah he is by far the worst at it :D

  • @captainwilfy I don't think he WAS trying to do a British accent until halfway through. :P

  • This is funny but you know theres no such thing as a British accent, unless you speak with an English, Welsh, Scottish And Irish accent...

  • I was expecting Knives to pop out at the end and say "TOPPOFDAMOURNINNNN' GOVBENAAAH"

  • ALISON IS THE ONLY ONE THAT IS EVEN PLAUSIBLE!

    THE REST SUCK! >_<

  • Lol terrible but Alison Pill's accent is the closest

  • Why do Americans automatically assume that British always talk in a posh Cockney accent?

  • @UncleStanky because they never heard of newcastle, manchester, leeds etc.

  • @themightyboush Poor excuse.

  • love the Spaced cut! ---whoosh!

  • Why is everyone getting so butt-hurt?

Will you guys lighten up? It's just for fun. Calm down.

  • mahahaha!! michael sucks at this. guess he isn't going to play anything exotic ever.

  • oh gosh this is hilarious

  • Hahaha Suuure thats British all right >< Aussie

  • Yah so auzzie lol

  • good job at being australian

  • "She's Choy-knees" brilliant!

  • 00:53 classic Edgar Wright

  • "I hate it when they hire Yanks to play Brits. You can always tell." Anyone know what that quote is from? HINT: Michael Cera is in it.

  • @TheSweedishPickles AD for the win :)

  • @lbetweenthebars WORD, got it!

  • They sound like the fucking beatles. Freakin' americans.

  • @verzeda, ...they're canadian. Most of them.

  • @Kari166

Canadians are supposed to have semi-british accents anyway...

  • wtf why are they doing this

  • @616ShadowFox Because the actors are normally from england. this is how they talk. they put on american accents later for the movie

  • @sirauronDX Michael Cera and Alison Pill are Canadians. Mark Webber and Johnny Simmons are Americans. This film was Edgar Wright's Hollywood debut, so he wanted actors with American accents. There were no Brits except the one who played Matthew Patel, and he was only cast because his fake accent was so good that he was actually mistaken for an American.

  • @HeadfulOfHollow Then i can only assume they were filming some other movie for british accents aswell or edgar wanted them to do this because why the fuck not

  • F for Effort, Cera

  • he trid though. lol

  • michael cera cant do it, still love him hahaha

  • Alison started really good then she just dropped it halfway through

Mark changed his accent every line

    Johnny was solid

Michael didn't have an accent till the last half

    xD

  • lol Steven Stills' accent changes with every line.

  • they are so terrible i love it but my internal englishness, wants to cry

  • Sounds like a mix of cockney and Australian. Except for Michael who isn't trying.

  • That's like, the whole of the UK's accents being mashed up into one accent..

  • this sounds absolutely fucking terrible

  • Michael Cera was doing an accent other than his own?

Everyone else had pretty good ones (for Canucks anyway).

  • english do not sound like that :)

  • priceless

  • Edgar Wright: Hey Bryan, can i make a badass adaptation of your awesomely awesome Graphic Novel series??

    Bryan Lee O' Malley: SHOR-YU-CAN!

  • Everyone was sounding Australian!

  • a canadian trying to a british accent.....smashingly brilliant

  • bad impressions, but meh

  • That's not a English accent

  • Why is it that all Americans think us Brits are either cockney pirates or posh people ?

  • @monster90ish They're Canadian.

  • @monster90ish Or Australian in this case

  • @monster90ish

For about the same reasons that Brits think all Yanks sound like Hillbillies or New Yorkers. :)

Used to serve alongside your Parachute Regiment in Afghanistan. They'd always say, "you don't sound, American." Have a laugh at it bro!

  • @monster90ish i suppose the same reason when brits do american accents, its usually southern. it's not necessarily that we believe every stereotype, just that it 's the most prevalent.

  • LOL

  • There's no such thing as a British/English accent anyway. There is too much of a spectrum around England to generalise it into one stereotype.

  • @RyansFuzz So speaketh Professor Henry Higgins!

  • @RyansFuzz

It's ridiculous too. You guys can pick out what city and even what neighborhood people are from, just by their accent!

  • they do sound a little aussie/south african/kiwi, i know what an english accent sounds like, im english. and scott had an american/canadian tinge

  • WHY WAS THIS NOT ON THE DVD?!?!?

  • HOLY SH1T is that the reals Scott Pilgrim?!?!?!?!

  • Why do they sound Australian..?

  • @TheActualHumanPie they don't you're just ignorant

  • @yomuddaso8 Haha, I'm ignorant because I think they sound Australian?! ...Oh, and I'm English by the way.

  • @TheActualHumanPie australian accent is actually english my friend in london calls australians british rednecks lol

  • @omgitzruffles

Completely different accents. You're embarrassing America by being so ignorant of other countries.

  • Mark's accent <3

  • Cera's 'She's Chinese' gets me every time.

  • @Ish3188 its at 0:43

  • dude kim is actually really hot haha

  • their accents make me BIFURIOUS

  • "She's ChOInese" LOL

  • lol the quick laugh of the camera man at 0:46

  • I didn't even realize Michael was trying to do an accent until about half way through....

  • Haha, yeah, they're all pretty terrible. Neil even sounds Australian.
