Does anyone else watching things like this sometimes and just think "Thats a person... in the sky... in a hunk of metal... traveling at hundreds of miles an hour... wow"?
How do you make a video like this? Upload the video and add the music? I want to see a video like this with the music from Ra "Sky". That would be perfect.
@PompousBreadRolls The fact that the Royal Canadian Navy does not own any aircraft carriers is one big thing.
Not only that but if you look at the wing, you can see that there is no subdued Canadian Flag Stamp.
The uniform that the pilot is wearing is the Blue Angels uniform with the Navy Blue flight suit and the yellow t-shirt underneath. There is no Canadian flying group with those colours.

@cpdp999 Ok....on this site check out F/A-18 Born to Be Wild as loaded by TJDOZIER. There is an ad there from the RAF in the UK. Now the airforce guys are skilled but Navy pilots are, in my opinion, more experienced. If you can't make the pilot grade first time don't worry. Just join and they will train you.
You're both wrong. First off, you don't "drop a rocket." And second, if that was a fuel bag or "fuel cell" then it would be much much bigger and it would be on the inner pylon of the wing, not the outer one. My guess is that it was a small dummy bomb for training purposes. Have a nice day! :)
Man, this was a love letter to hornet fans - especially when he did a 360 loop and skimmed the cloud cover - and then skated around it like he was in the Ice Capades. That was some fine airmanship, and I'm glad the camera was there for it.

He's wearing a blue suit and a yellow scarf ( 0:17 ). I think this is a Blue Angel (or Ex-) who went for a joyride after qualifying, which is why we see a bomb dropped at 1:17 . Even the Blue Angels gotta stay current on certifications :D Could be wrong I 'spose.
I'm not talking about his plane. I'm talking about his uniform. I'm not aware of another unit that wears the blue and yellow like the Angels. But I'm not too familiar with Naval units. The Blue Angels are still combat pilots and they must stay current with training and certifications. I think this is a Blue Angel who is qualifying, then going for a joyride.

F-18's do their job perfectly, F-14 i'm sad to say it but we don't need it anymore and it's expensive to maintain it's like having a 900hp car but you don't get to use all it's power because there's no one to race anymore so it's a complete money pit if you ask me.

And air superiority against what and who ?? Those days are gone, F14 is Mach 2.5 capable but the Hornet is capable of 1.8 and that is not slow right now the important thing is to be multi-purpose bombing, air to air, reconassaince and the F/A 18 fulfills it all unlike the F-14 that's just pure air to air can't bomb terrorist camps with air to air missles now can we ??
Don't get me wrong i love the F-14 but it's time is over it's really not needed anymore it has an exceptional radar but the Super Hornet nowadays is almost as capable and cheaper to maintain and smaller so you can stuff more Hornets in a carrier compared to the F14.

F-18's do their job perfectly, F-14 i'm sad to say it but we don't need it anymore and it's expensive to maintain it's like having a 900hp car but you don't get to use all it's power because there's no one to race anymore so it's a complete money pit if you ask me.

@BruteCommando but the f-14 was bulit for pure air superiority. not for bombing. the f-18 will NEVER win in a dogfight because of its slow speed and range.

And air superiority against what and who ?? Those days are gone, F14 is Mach 2.5 capable but the Hornet is capable of 1.8 and that is not slow right now the important thing is to be multi-purpose bombing, air to air, reconassaince and the F/A 18 fulfills it all unlike the F-14 that's just pure air to air can't bomb terrorist camps with air to air missles now can we ??

Don't get me wrong i love the F-14 but it's time is over it's really not needed anymore it has an exceptional radar but the Super Hornet nowadays is almost as capable and cheaper to maintain and smaller so you can stuff more Hornets in a carrier compared to the F14.

It could carry retarded bombs. which are better than whever the f-18 has. im telling you mach 1.8 is slow. really slow. andthe f-18 is replacing everything! The A-6, the A-7, the S-3, The EA-6B Prowler, and whats going to be next?? The E-2C????

And i quote you "the F14 was made for pure superiority and not for bombing" and i'm responding to what you said, i know there's a Bombcat but it's been MODIFIED to bomb it hasn't been designed to carry bombs in the first place.A6 and A7 are very old airframes to start with and the F-18 can't replace the S-3 and Prowler don't be so dumb an F-18 can't refuel other jets and provide jamming right ? NO IT CAN'T and Mach 1.8 slow ?? What a dumbass really.
