  • is elizabeth daily doing helen kellers voice? sounds like tommy pickles and buttercup so much..

  • This is supposed to be a movie for people teaching them the basics like Helen Keller being blind and deaf and other simple things like that so stop hating and enjoy the movie

  • wow!!! i'm like annie. i feel the need. and i'm an aspiring teacher.

  • I directed the stage play this past and did extensive research. I cringed at all the errors in this adaptation!!!! And actually my comment was meant for eddsworldisawesome. I love this play! My production won 9 0f the 12 awards my community theatre company awards. Helen was 18 months old when she lost her sight and hearing. That's the fact they get the most wrong!!!!

  • Annie's parents were from Ireland. Check the facts.

  • @WinningDirector Agreed!Ann sullivan's parents were poor irish immigrantes came to the states with the hope to live better. And ann's mom died when poor ann was nine and her father left and abandoned her and Jimmy her brother.

  • wow how did she become deaf

  • crying so SAD

  • Why does Helen sound ALOT like Tommy from Rugrats?

  • i have her book....it's so awesome you can see her horseback picture....

  • thats a terrible attempt at an irish accent :L

  • @lovewolves123 accualy annies from scotland

  • @eddsworldisawesome oh, at 0:17 it says (irish accent)

  • @lovewolves123 well my asl teacher said shes from scotland so i think im going to go with her teachings instead of an inaccurate cartoon

  • If it were not for Helen and Anne, the communication of the blind and deaf would be impossible today

  • @LadyL31786 not completely true. Yes it helped but blind-deaf children where learning to communicate before Helan was even born. The whole reason why Anne even knew what to teach Helan was because Laura who was also blind and deaf taught Anne how to comunicate with the blinddeaf. Laura also taught other students at the perkins school for the blind. Thats incredible.

  • Dang she's tall 0:41

  • poor kid

  • no offense but this movie really inaccurate

  • you do know that being means that you can open your eyes, but the eyes are plank and icy. so people wh are blind aren't those with closed eyes.

  • why must they make her hair so messy..

  • The real one is better

  • the real one is better

  • hey when you wrote the guy who was talking to annie earlier that guy was Michal Anganos, not trying 2 correct u... im just saying

  • i like the one with real people better :p

  • so sad

  • Annie Sullivan is kind of strange

  • i love that movie the first time i saw it was when i was in 2nd grade

  • HELLEN KELLER WAS DEAF AND BLIND !

  • Thanks you a lot for uploading it.

  • i fll asleep reading the book like 30 times in school

  • awwwww thats sad!!!!!!!!!!

  • i watched this shcool

  • I think Elizabeth Daily, the actress who provides the Voice for Tommy on Rugrats, and Buttercup on PPG, is the voice actress for Helen.

  • is any one else watching this for homework

  • that lady was a good teacher. can't stand the father >=\

  • Based on a true story actually

  • Perkins school for the blind: in a beautiful scenic escape, you can send your child to this beautiful campus with colorful buildings, a quant fountain in the middle, and 500 acres of open land with a forest background just begging to get lost in.

  • @Agentseaturtle kind of ironic don't you think?

  • Annie is an amazing woman.

  • and dum and braille and she is dead

  • hellen is cute

  • helen keller died in 1968

  • It sounds like Helen's saying "mom" while she's running away from the teacher.

  • diz iz saddd

  • shes cute

  • they left out a part when helen punches anne not tryin to be mean its all in the books

  • i'm glad they took the dick head brother out.

  • even though its animation, its really interesting

  • Comment removed

  • are you dumb or something??? its deaf not death...

  • Wow, I just happened to come across this animation, the first part was really sad, thanks so much for uploading, I'll be sure to watch all of them sooner or later. I just HAVE to catch up on these other shows I'm watching, like Naruto. Must not get caught in another series or movie.

  • When Helen Keller was naughty, her parents used to do awful things to punish her. Like rearranging all the furniture. Leaving the plunger in the toilet. Make her wear mittens so she couldn't talk...just awful...

  • haha havent heard the last one lol.

They also put doorknobs on all the walls so she would slam into them when whe tried to open the walls.

  • I cannot find any information about that. Where does your information come from?

  • rlly they did?????????? thats just sad

  • 12 years old and the first time I saw this was in 4 years old.

  • Nice job with the accents! They caught how Annie is Irish and Anagnos is Greek.

  • I'm 21 and I love Helen Keller!

  • hey are all of you teenagers? i am just only seven years old

  • And i'm a 10 year old

  • YOU try to be blind and deaf! Do it for a week and give the money half to a blind persons charity, the rest to a deaf persons charity! It must have been do hard for poor Helen!

  • Hi, NatureLover987,

I am a teacher who is teaching Helen Keller's autobiography.

I searched on YouTube and found the animations you posted very useful to me.

Yet, the part 2 and part 5 are missing, which makes me quite anxious right now 'coz I am gonna use them tomorrow.

Would you please be so kind to upload them again so that I can have my students watch those wonderful video clips!!

Thank you very much in advance!!

    ^_^

  • will she was a brat because she couldn't see or hear. Even you would've been a brat if you were her!!!!

    So don't say she was a brat :( :(

  • i dont think brat is the way to put it. imagine if you were in her position. nobody could understand what she wanted, i mean she was living in pure darkness not noing who anybody was or anything. I would be angry to!

  • I kinda agree,But she did act like a brat tbh

  • why do they always make blind people's eyes closed we can't see at all or a little we ahve eyses jees you animators

  • probably to make it easier for lil' kids to understand blindness

  • annie sounds like mrs doughtfire

  • helen... she sounds like tommy pickles.

  • UR SOO RIGHT!

  • Beacuse E.G. Daily who does Tommy's voice did Helen's voice. Well heard!

  • @TheAshwhite thats what i said in the first vid

  • @TheAshwhite because it is the voice of Tommy.... I think....

  • @TheAshwhite That's what I thought!!

  • @TheAshwhite Helen Keller IS Tommy Pickles.

  • it sounded like the train said roof roof lolol

  • i read the book it was very good and very tuching..Great book and the cartoon is nice to :);

  • the person playing little helen is the voice of tommy from rugrats!!! omg!!!!

  • yeah she is tommy's voice. you noticed it too.

    haha

  • THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING OF I always thogut she sounded like tommy

  • Did they really need to make Helen's hair soooo messy? i cant stand how terrible it looks that way lol!!!!

  • if u watch the original 1 she did not stay clean, she was always throwing tantrums so of course her hair is a mess

  • Thanks. I watched part 3 and annie was trying to brush her hair.

  • annie was 14 years older than helen! She was born is 1866 - wikipedia

  • never use wikipedia for searching facts

  • who is Annie's voice for this movie?

  • E.G. Daily, I believe

  • i couldn't find out on imdb or wikipedia, but i think she does the voice for helen too. if you listen closely in the next part, the voice sounds like tommy from the rugrats.

  • Just what I was thinking. Her voice sounded like Tommy's XD

  • @NatureLover987 OH MY GOD! :D That's why she sounds like Tommy from the rugrats!

  • i just looked her up and it seems that she had several operations to restore her sight, so by this time, her vision was blurry and she could partly see

  • Annie Sullivan was blind aswell, though watching this cartoon it doesn't look like they made her blind, She wore dark glasses in real life whereas in this she blinks, and it appears as though she can see.

  • Why does laura look that old, she was only 15 years older than helen

  • Laura??

  • Laura Bridgman (1829-1889) is known as the first deaf-blind, Dr. Howe taught Laura. Her name became familiar everywhere as an example of the education of a deaf-blind. Helen Keller's mother Kate Keller read Dickens' account and was inspired to seek advice which led to her hiring a teacher and former pupil of the same school, Anne Sullivan(1866- 1936). Sullivan learned the manual alphabet from Bridgman which she took back to Helen, along with a doll that Bridgman had made for her.

  • @lovefansub Yes you are very right.Laura bridgman was the first deaf blind girl to be educated but she was less intellectual than helen, more manual and made crochet ,lace and clothed helen's doll. She made exquisite laceworks according to helen's book. But was more reserved, and always stayed in the institute for the blind whereas helen tried to be normal all her life and even succeeded in speaking with her mouth and lecturing.A full life.

  • @lovefansub Yes exactly!!Laura was educated by dr Howe and had the same disabilities than Helen plus she lost the sense of smell and taste.Just very tough.Like helen she learnt to read to spell but unlike helen she didn't learn to speak with her mouth and stayed her life at the institution of Perkins. She was bright but less than Helen. But she was an example yes.

  • @NatureLover987 The doctor says "Tell Laura I'm sorry to interrupt [...]" . She is the old woman being took care from Annie Sullivan.

  • @NatureLover987 Laura Bridgeman the "other Helen Keller"

  • I don't know,

But What do mean Laura was 15 years older thean Helen?

  • no, she was 51 years older than Helen

  • @milesthefox90 you got ur ages wrong

  • @milesthefox90 ur so wrong. Laura is 1829 and Helen 1880 that means 51 years difference!!

  • @milesthefox90 she was 58

  • RONG! I watched helen keller and it says that annie was older than Helen not helen older than annie :(

  • you're right... you can clearly see that when Helen was 6 or 7 Annie was like 30 or something... where did you hear that Helen was older than Annie??

  • at skool

  • Comment removed

  • btw, helen is just 7 yrs old when she first met annie.

  • @NatureLover987 Annie was 20 its in the book

  • @NatureLover987 Annie was 28

  • @NatureLover987 annie was 21 when helen was 7. laura was about 40

  • @NatureLover987 Helen was 6 and a half, Annie was 20.

  • it's great that there are been a cartoon for the teens :) , i believe that everybody should understand helen keller

    i m sorry for my english i m french :)

  • i watched half of this in school. :)

  • its a sad story i watched the real video at school,. it was all in balck and white and it was her. and it was so sad

  • yeah I know ... I saw that movie a while ago in high school history class. Btw, thanks for watching! :)

  • i saw it too! it was really sad D:

  • i read helen keller's history book at skool i love it its so cool it teach us the real life how many poor ppl lives in world with blind mute .....

  • yeah it does... tho Helen was actually only blind and deaf. I think she eventually learned how to speak again with the help of her teacher Anne.

  • Yes Helen learned how to speak and write. She attended Radcliffe and graduated with honors. She was extremely intelligent. Once she understood how to communicate via signs, it opened up her entire world. She was an amazing woman.

  • how on earth did she learn to SPEAK VOCALLY?!

  • She placed her fingers on Annie's lips and was able to imitate the sounds by feeling the vibrations. There is actually a video of Annie and Helen demonstrating this. I believe it was from a movie reel made in the 1920's. Both were much older women at that time and was probably made shortly before Annie Sullivan's death.

  • yes, it's true. helen could feel people vibration. for example by putting her finger on people throat (not inside). she learned to speak by feeling how her teacher tongue moved inside her mouth, how she moved her lips and what vibration she produces when she spoke. amazing isn't it? it's complicated.

  • I really love how history is made into a cartoon it really gives you a more colorful view...

Oh and Thx for posting :)
