  • my friend and I are building a roller coaster like yours! could we have your e-mail to ask you a few questions please!?

  • I'm going to do that ...

  • i love this video

  • Aww man, I first I thought you had figured out a way to make it move solely on magnetic force. But nice video nonetheless. :)

  • what kind of motor did you use? I'm having trouble finding one with low rpm but high torque. All the one's im finding are in china :( but then again, I suck at finding things. Any help you have to offer regarding finding a good motor would be helpful. thx

  • @SystematicChaos2112 U could use some gears to lower the RPM but increase the torque. Have it go to a large gear, that will increase the torque.

  • you are looking so gay!!

  • this was in a private match.

  • for the lego technic chain, how many links did u use?

  • boooooooooooore...

  • I was planning on building a machine similar to this for my tech ed. project in school and i was wondering if you had any directions for building the entire machine? I would really appreciate it. Thank you :)

  • Hi, we were just wondering where you got the pretty tubing? Thanks. :)

  • Looks more like polypropylene tube to me

  • did you know, most people with Autism love marble machines :) wonder if "normal" people who also love systematic physics machines have minor signs of Autism, as it seems logic that it would work the other way around as well

  • @TheMystery7314 how about dropping hot glass from a certain height into hot water? they aint glass you dick head they're made with metal, its got a magnet in it.

  • @SkinandSketch mate, just what the hell has that got to do with my post? :P

  • @TheMystery7314 Sorry mate, not much, was my mate Rob and I having a conversation, a bit worse for wear. Like your post, that's all.

  • You look like Jim carry.

  • you spelt original wrong! :'(

  • you must be reall bored to come up with something like this..

  • make me one

  • Where did you get the gears and the chain? Also, in the video it does not show where the chain is at the top. I'm not sure what it attaches to.

  • yhtä turhaa paskaa ku pyyhkis perseensä hiekkapaperii... ja sit jos laitan sydämen nii sit ne luulee et tykkään täst mut eri kielellä<3

  • Cool machine! Good job man!

  • you got the gears and the chain from the knex shark roller coaster right?

  • Alright, can someone help me. Where can i get wire for the inside of the tube i've checked everywhere!

  • some one doesent have a girlfriend

  • your cool :)

  • just genuis dont know how to spell it

  • What if I made this video in the dutch verzion. Would you like to set a link in this video for the dutch people. I Like to do this!

  • thx i made 10 loops

  • I AM THE 50,000 VIEWER!!!!!!!!!

  • @babybusinessbates well im viewer 57010

  • @gibiloeis lol it took this video 3 weeks to get 10 views

  • his mommy made him fix his hair

  • i was stunned by the stop motion technique that you used. Could you explain that more detailedly.

  • @daczoka

    it's easy.

3 clips were used then spliced together.

clip one: video ending when ball reaches the "move point" shot from point A

clip two: ball stopped in place at "move point" and ball sculpture or camera moved from point A to point B

clip three: video starts with ball moving starting at "move point" shot from point B

all you need to do is take a shot of the ball in action from point A, set ball in middle of pass through and video rotation, then another action video from point B.

  • the cost of making the ball lift is what gets you

  • 1:58 nice and precise!

  • you put the magnet on the track/ lift and while it is moving up, the magnet will grab the ball, and whala, ur ball moves up.

  • Hello there, where did you get the plastic chain and those big red sprockets.....?

  • Great job

  • umm how u suppose to srew it in

  • how to manage the Timing of the Magnet to Catch the Ball when it is accurately at rest in the END...Just this Much Please ???

it is important Please tell Soon.

  • @melad786 Actually it was mostly by chance that it worked out, however it is possible to adjust the speed of the elevator motor by adding or removing batteries (increasing or decreasing voltage) This particular motor runs on anything between 3v and 12v. The closer to 12v the faster it goes.

  • @melad786 its much easier is you place a resistor.... :)

  • Looks EZ thx

  • Good. :D Wow, You're very scientific. I envy your skills.

  • the gear and chain look exactly the same as those in a k'nex kit

  • or if you have an old knex roller coaster with the motor, gears, and chains (same ones in video) you could probably use those instead, right?

  • Hmmm... a marble race... Sounds cool so I can race with my friends. I made one out of cardboard and to make it stay using the best glue... Elmer's School Glue. I also made a racetrack with toy cars out of cardboard. (The toy cars are not made out of cardboard.)

  • Where'd you get the motor from?

  • @CrunchieDan a power window motor from a car works excellent for slower rpm high tourqe applications such as this. it runs very quiet and has a worm gear (super tourqe) driving a standard flat cog type all in one unit which begs for this type modification. any old 12vdc wall wart will work to power it and everything should be very cheap to free. hope this helps someone because im supposed to be working right now ha ha peace be with you

  • @TearToTheReeDeeOol Thanks, bud :D

  • is it just me or does it sound like this guy was at gunpoint and forced to read the script?

  • Where'd you get icemaker tubing?

  • can u use a metal chain?

  • what size or gauge is the tubing

  • i watched both vids 5 times and i still cant get it right...wiht help.

  • Will vinyl or silicone tubing work as well?

  • Is the tubing the same as aquarium airline hose?

  • Oh wow, this helped lots. Thanks so much for making this! Not even kidding, I've seen the original many times and I've always wanted to make something like this. The tubing gives it a Spaecrail look!

  • Gief me

  • Thank you very much for posting this. Since I saw your video a couple years ago, I've always wanted to build one of these. Now that I have the chance, I can't wait to begin.

  • nice

  • Very nice! Once my exams are over, i'm going to try this! :D

  • is there any other type of chain i could use? or does it have to be a lego technic chain?

  • Why can't more How To videos be like this?

    Vey nice job explaining this.

  • I still don't understand how you did stop motion thing.

  • i thought the three shot splice in your original video was awesomely cool

  • that was pretty awesome! i love the lifting device. My friend and I have to do this for a physics project but we're not allowed to use adapters!

  • This is fantastic. Great effort. Could you share the Gearhead motor details.

  • Gay! -.-'

  • Sweet, I did something similar to this and I used pretty much all your materials to make it. I got 100 on it in Science. Thanks!

  • this is nice how did u get all the tubing so sturdy cuz im trying to make one for school and i have smaller tubing...

  • did u buy it on a store or u just BUILD IT!

  • HI!

U realy got a gr8 marble machine there!

i got one question that i realy hope u can answer. Do u know what motor i should have if i wanna make a lift like that? what´s the name i realy wanna know got a science project comming and i really wanna do a lift like that. i know it´s a Gearhead motor but could u give me some details about the name etc.

    Thanks!

  • where did you get the plastic chain from

  • kenex

  • did you cut the inner wire and the tubing then piece them together or is it one piece?? Im having tons of trouble gettin the wire thru the tube.

  • Try using a little oil to help feed it though, I was able to make about 10 foot sections before it got to hard to feed. If you need to feed 1/2 from the other direction it shouldn't make any difference. Just put a support where the wires meet in the middle.

  • What brand and type of gear head motor and gears that you used?

  • @one2bop well idk if there knex they look like it

  • Where on earth did you get the plastic chain.

  • Its Lego Technic chain from ebay.

  • its a knex chain

  • @muggsman0 I am tryig to help my son build this for school. Cant find a high torque low RPM motor like this . can you tell me where you got motor and gears . like make model of motor and brand of gears. thx

  • @tc27115 Im also having trouble finding the right motor. what kinda specs does the motor have? trq? model number?

  • @muggsman0 no actually its k'nex

  • @Joeybrodnax I got a tube for an airpump for an aquarium ... bought it in a do it yourself store for 0,49 euro per meter

  • I've always wanted to build a "model roller coaster" of sorts being such a big fan of them so thank you for the tutorial! congrats on 1 mil views!

  • Q. can you use alminium as the lift wall as nothing realy sticks (beside glue)

  • Ya I think that would work well.

  • Now i get how the tubing works.

My worry was that the stuff is always too rigid and tends to go back into a weird shape because of the roll which it came off, giving it a kinked bend. Now i know that you put heavy-duty wire inside, making it flexible yet it can hold it's shape. It's so simple yet genius.

Thank you for the tutorial; i was waiting for this (mainly for the tube issues) and it helped a great deal. Congrats on your video reaching 1 million. :D

  • same i was wondering how the tube stayed so perfectly. its really amazing how simple, yet innovative that idea was haha

  • This is a great idea. Good job, it would be really cool to make

  • mad

  • hehe, first wiew :)

    btw, really liked it!

youve got a sub :) gj btw :)
