I think this is one of the times where the anime outshines the manga. this stuff was writtin to be in motion picture. plenty of other mangas i think failed to be translated well into an anime like gantz IMO was a great manga but i think the anime sucked a butt..

@imjsutthatguy i think the Anime is a very good anime yes, its a very well translated anime, its exactly like the manga and maybe even better, UNTIL the last few episodes, they shouldnt have done that.

they should have followed the manga story completely, if they did that and made the anime longer then it would be better than all other mainstream action anime.

the manga story is very original and epic, they shouldnt have come up with such a sudden and cheesy ending in the anime.

@Garudanime Yea i agree with the fact the ending is a bit lacking. But if I'm correct i think they ran out of funding so they tried to tie up the story as best they could with what they had left. BUT they could always make an Ova along the lines of Hellsing(which fucking rocked by the way). They do it all the time just totally forgetting about what happened before. The anime/manga is more popular today then it was before. Season 2 is coming its just a matter of when. CANT WAIT :D

I recommend both the manga and the anime for this, its absolutely astounding. Te manga is great but also the anime offers great fight scenes as well as great character development for those who are fans of deep in-depth plots and likable animation (Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood). Yes, Claymore is sadly the anime standard of about 26 episodes. Thankfully Claymore is one of the few anime series that use the 26 episode limit well. It doesn't FEEL like a short series (or at least doesn't feel too short) when you're watching. They really do a great job of making a masterpiece and a very wholesome,complete story with rich characters and interactions without having to go 50+ episodes. Claymore is one of the best animes/anime stories of all time.

Will they? Who knows, it's been a few years since the anime series ended and I'm only a Claymore fan just like you.

CAN they? Absolutely. The anime only ended at the Pieta. The manga continues even FURTHER into the story and does a 7 year time skip after Pieta (where we see Raki as an adult and a really badass Yoma killer).

They have plenty of story to work with AND the manga is STILL ongoing currently, new chapters still being released monthly. It's a matter of fanbase imo.

I've seen a lot of people saying they are hoping for a season two and I do agree with them.... but it may be hard considering the story line between the anime and the manga splits near the end when they are all the way up north battling the Awakened Beings. Not revealing anything if you haven't read the manga... but I do recommend reading it. You can read 116 Chapters of it (still being writen) at mangareader(.)net. Yes it's free. ^.^
