@ninjalunarmidgetguy He didn't tag the kid at second. There was a runner on second already. He caught the ball...1 out. Stepped on first, since the runner on first never tagged up...2 outs, and then stepped on second since that runner also didn't tag up...3 outs.

Funny that people are calling this kid 'Not a team player'. Had he thrown the ball there was a chance the kid could have dropped. By walking it there, he was making sure the runner couldn't run back to 1st base. Why put a kid in a pickle when he's already out?
@xRyansextonx The objective of youth sports is for children to have fun while learning to be team-oriented. At that age, my coach taught me there is nothing wrong with a soft underhand throw in a situation like that when you have plenty of time. If you want your kid to learn to be a team player, enroll them in team sports. If you want your child to do everything themselves, enroll them in an individual sport like golf.

@DeficatingBum It sounds like either you or your child didn't get very much play time to be completely honest. If the kid has a 100% chance to get 3 outs by himself why wouldn't he?
its a double play cause he didnt tag up, so the kid running was all ready out when he stepped on the back. so the rundown and the tag on the same kid running from first to second was already out. good play though
@150peacemaker no... the kid who hit the ball is out cause he caught it.. the kid who was running is out cause he left before he caught it .. same goes for the other kid.. hence 3
